I recently purchased a Quantum xl 1000 machine and it came with a Sew Ware reader/writer but there was no installation disk for the computer. I need the disc or need to know if the 2.0 software will work with that device. I also need the blank card for the machine.
Ask the dealer for the disk. If they don't give it to you, try the version 2.
As long as it isn't an upgrade from the old version, you shouldn't have a problem.
The read/write card should have come with the machine. Contact the dealer.
Any problems should be reported to the company.

I have the same machine and converter, however, my converter is ver. 2.0. It uses Smart Media Cards either 8MB or 16MB. The 16MB would be the highest you'd want to use. I'd suggest you uninstall the software and re-install it to see if that will help. The converter also has a cable that will allow you to send designs to your sewing machine from the internet. But it first has to go through the converter.
Good luck, the machine is really a very nice machine, you just need some time to learn all the different techniques.
