SOURCE: 1994 CHEVY K1500 BRAKE LIGHTS DON'T WORK TOP CAB LIGHT WORKS

I figured out my problem!
From the VERY BEGINING... I changed my brake pedal switch with a BRAND NEW switch, and the lights still didn't work.

Well, I went back down there with a live wire and touched the contacts..and guess what.. the brake lights lit up!

I got a faulty NEW brake pedal switch!! I went a year with this problem, so learn from my issue, test even your new parts if it doesn't fix the problem to completely rule it out!

I hope you guys figure out what's going on with your issue.

SOURCE: rear brakes locking up with slight touch of brake pedal.

Most of the time with the rear brakes locking up the brake drums are warpped. If you remove the rear brake drums and take them to almost any auto parts store (Napa, Checkers ect.) they will turn the drums for about $10 a piece.

After you have the drums turned you will need to readjust the rear brakes.

97 subaru impreza when brake is pressed left taillight goes out then comes back once brake is released

You probably have a worn spot on your wire and when you press the pedal, you are pushing the wire against the frame and making a connection that lets the light get electricity. Ck the wire all the way around and tape the bare spot. Get someone to press the pedal to see if you can see where the wire is touching.

96 suburban brake ligh don't work

you may have to change the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal stop by your local GM dealership in the parts department and they be able to print you off pictures and diagrams but check on the part at your local part store because it maybe cheaper wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

i don't know if it is the time of year (lots of condensation) or it's just happens alot but my mantra appears to have become check the relays. I suspect the brake light relay would be in the engine compartment fuse panel but on yours it may be in the fuse panel under your dash or in the glove compartment.... car companys seem to like hiding them.
