Power Acoustik PTID-4007 Okay, so I checked my radio fuse, it's fine. Checked for constant and acc 12v. and they are there. fuses on harness are good. I spliced my adapter harness onto the PTID-4007 harness, wire for wire and the radio won't turn on! is there an internal fuse or something?

I would check if your vehicle has a factory amp. Often times they must be bypassed. I had a similar problem with my 1998 Mits. Eclipse Spyder. I had to wire all the speakers directly.

Radio installation without factory wiring harness in 1983 jeep CJ 7. Radio will be installed in secure center center console. I checked under the dash and could not locate a factory harness and not sure...

ok its easy, first see the stereo installation diagram, but i think its have spare wire harness, try to find it. inlay your wire in secured area, dont forget to install fuse in acc and in hot at all time(constant 12V)

Radio has no power fuse okay

There may be two fuses in the 12V line to your radio; generally the 'accessory' fuse in the fuse box and a second one in the dedicated 12V line to the radio and this one will be under the dashboard.

Tapping into my cigar lighter wire to wire in my stereo?

Yes you can wire it to the cigar lighter. The only problem is you will have to manually shut the radio off. I would find a 12v source with power only in ignition on position . You can go to the ignition switch for that. Good luck.

No Power

Make sure u have power at the back of the radio. U said u replaced the fuses in the fuse box. Some aftermarket units have in-line fuses that can be open. So, check to see if there is an in-line fuse for the memory/back-up and B+ leads. If there is, more than likely, one of them is blown.

Ignore the above comment... SD cards and USB play fine on there (i have one).
Mine does the same, but leave it for 5-10 seconds after it says close and it loads it up!
