Really small Batery life on the Air hogs Relex

I just bought the Airhogs Reflex and only got to fly it once. The battery charges for over 50 minutes (unplugged it even though the light was still flashing) and it only lasted 45 seconds in the air then the battery died... Can someone help me???

Well the instructions say that I cant leave it in the charger after its done charging. And it doesnt say how long it takes to charge. I have a Reflex.

Hi,

By rule of thumb, rechargeable batteries, should be charged for 12~14 hours OFF FROM THE SHELF. Then, 3~4 hours thereafter. This has proven to prolong re-chargeable battery's life.

TIP: observe how long the battery last first. so that you'll know when to charge again.

I hope this works for you. Good Luck!

We have a Air Hogs Hawk Eye that will fully charge but will not fly or respond to the remote control. Thanks for your help.

We had a simular problem - my son's unit was also stuck in picture taken mode - After contacting Spin Master (1-800-622-8339) it would appear that this is a known issue and they will replace the defective unit for free with proof of purchase.
You could also try to fully drain the unit (by leaving it on) and then re-charging it - apparently this has worked for some people.

How do you download videos and look at throgh the camra on the helicopter?

Thank you for your question. From my research, it appears that the Air Hogs R/C Reflex does not have video capabilities. The Air Hogs Hawk Eye does have video and picture taking capabilities. Look at your Air Hog to determine which one you in fact have. Here is a link to video tutorials for all of the Air Hog products that may help you: http://www.airhogs.com/#/need_help/reflex. The link is set to the Reflex but you can change your product selection to any product at this link.
If you have the Hawk Eye, here is a link to the instructions: http://www.spinmaster.com/files/instructions/AH_Hawk_Eye.pdf. It is not possible to look through the camera. You can however, take pictures and videos during flight. Download the images on your computer to see the images you caught. To download, plug the small end on the USB plug (included with your Air Hog) to the product and the large end to your computers USB plug (this is how you charge the Air Hog, too). In your computer's Windows Explorer, you will see your Air Hog connected and can copy the images to the computer. Remember to remove the images from the Air Hog to free up space for new images. Always remember to pick on the eject button on your computer for the Air Hog before unplugging it from the computer. Take note that the videos do not record sound. If you access www.airhogs.com, you can register and download free editing software to add cool images, sounds and words to your videos and pictures. You will also be able to share them with others.
If you need additional assistance, you can contact Air Hogs Flight Training Center at 1-800-622-8339.
I hope this helped. I would appreciate your taking the time to rate my assistance with FixYa. Enjoy your flight!

How do i fly my spin master air hog rc helicopter all it does is go in circles

If its a Reflex twin rotor Heli use the trim wheel on top to counteract the spin and at least stabilize the craft at hover. Then use the right/left froward backward fans to control flight, (right joystick on the controller). These fans are not very powerful so don't expect alot from them other than turning the craft right left and reverse. Seems there is too much down draft from the rotors to effectively move the Heli forward. Not a real good design. The Sharpshooter is easier to fly but uses the batteries in the controller as a charger so they don't last real long.

Rotors spin just a little

make sure that the blades are snapped into place and that everything is charged and then make sure the heli is on because if you crash it, it will automatically turn itself off and then make sure no hair is stuck on the bar that spins thats attached to the blades and then try it again
