OUT OF THE BLUE, MY GMAIL STOPPED RECEIVING MESSAGES AND STOPPED SENDING THEM. I DONT GET ANY ERROR MESSAGE - BUT WHEN I HIT THE SEND BUTTON, THE E-MAIL NEVER ARRIVES AT IT'S DESTINATION.
Try it from a different computer first see if it works from there.

Set your gmail profile in your gmail account, by allowed pop3 system software download your mail from gmail

I think your computer is infected ! Try to make a full scan with your antivirus ( you should update it first ). If you don't have one you can download a full free version of avast or get trial period for gdata or kaspersky.
Besides I suggest to go to your gmail parameters and choose to log in with https protocol by default. Change your password and secret question.

It doesn't matter which one you click on, they both work the same.
When composing a new message or replying to one sent to you, both SEND buttons (upper and lower) will do exactly the same thing.
When you are done typing your message or response just click on either SEND button and whatever you just typed will be sent to the recipient.
