Many possibilities.
Check to see if the electric motor that pumps the washer fluid is working by detaching the hose at the bottom of the washer tank and starting the car & dashboard washing switch ( the multi-switch that controls the washer.)
If you get no fluid squirting out, either the fuse or the washer pump motor is bad.
If it is pumping fluid out there, try hooking a hose to the fluid line and blowing on it to see if fluid will pass through the line, or if it is plugged up ( usually at the nozzle).
If that is clear, perhaps the whole system has lost it's "prime".
Try charging the whole system with water by blowing water from your mouth into the washer lines.
Many cars can lose their "prime" with months or years of dis-use.
God bless your efforts.
first thing i would do is remove the rubber hose from the pump to the wipers. if fluid is coming out then you lines are plugged or kinked also in the past i have had to take a pin and poke the holes at the wiper end. also check inside of the washer fluid tank and see if the hose is clogged and not pulling fluid
the washer pump is in the bottom of the reservoir. look up from underneath and you will see two wires and a hose coming out of the bottom of the reservoir. pull off the hose and hit the washer button. if the fluid squirts out, then you have a blockage in the washer lines, just follow the hoses and locate it. often when the weather is cold and you do not use the more expensive washer fluid, the fluid just freezes in the lines and nothing comes out until it warms up. water freezes below 32 degrees in case you never noticed. go to walmart, autozone, advance they all sell a winter version of the fluid with a lower freezing temperature. if the pump motor is turning but nothing is squirting out and it is over 32 degrees then i would pull the whole contraption out of the car and give it a good flushing out, something is blocking the pump inlet. if that still does not do it then take a look on ebay for a working replacement.
Push the washer fluid button and hold it for 20 sec then look under the truck and seeif you see the washer fluid dripping on to the ground, if theres no sign of the washer fluid then you have a bad washer pump, which is located on the side of the washer bottle, if theres fluid dripping then you will need to follow the line, start at the washer nozzles, this is where it breaks the most, if the line is plastic you can use a peice of rubber hose that size and connect the broken line back together with the hose, hope this helps.
Possible blockage in line or at the nozzle ends. There is a small screen that keeps debris from entering the lines but can get clogged. The screen is plastic and is inside the reservoir at the bottom between the pump and the outlet hose. Remove and clean the screen as needed. If the problem persists there is most likely a clog in the line. Slightly higher pressurized air (more than the washer pump can produce) could clear the clog. Be sure to check the nozzles for blockage too. Good luck to you
Locate where little hose attaches closest to body of vehicle, at pivot end of wiper, and pull/pry it off, and try pump to see if it's getting that far. If it is, blow from squirt end back with air nozzle or some other source and clear line. When air flowing through again, re-attach & see if it works.
have someone push the washer button while someone else goes back to the rear and listens for a humming noise. if there is no noise then the little pump that shoots the fluid out is not working.
If there is a humming noise then the line is clogged.
hope this helps
well, i don't know if it was much of a solution. I figured out there was only one resevoir for the front and rear washer fluid...located the hose going to the rear and disconnected it from the electric pump attaced to the resevoir. Once the hose was disconnected i activated the pump and the fluid shot out of the pump indicating it was working. So, i figured it must be some kinda blockage in the hose line...so, i pushed air through the line in hopes that it might work to clear it out...well, don't know if that was the trick but when i reconnected the hose it worked!
