Ekrok, you are going to have to change the fill valve. If water is still filling when the unit is unplugged, that means the valve is stuck open. This is not a hard fix. You will have to remove the screws on the top in back. Should be three. If this is a GE you will have to remove the front header. Three screws in back of the front header. Now the top will slide off toward the back The valve is easy to get at. Get your part at a local appiance parts store or order it from repairclinic.com. Change it out and this will be a done deal, Catriver

My LG front loader is showing an "FE" error. The water seems to continue running into the tub, leaking out the door.

Good morning

I looked this up to make sure I was thinking the right way. The FE means there is too much water in the machine... lol bet you already knew that. Since water is actually coming out of the machine it looks like a bad fill valve. The plastic piece your hot and cold water lines hook into is not shutting off all the way.

I hope this helps

Water flows constantly during the spin cycle

Servicing Water Inlet ValvesIf the washer won't fill or fills very slowly, if it overfills, or if the water is the wrong temperature, the water inlet valves could be faulty. These components are easy to locate and very easy to replace, at little cost. When you suspect an inlet valve is faulty, first check to make sure the water faucets are fully turned on and properly connected to the hot and cold inlets of the valves. Then check the screens in the valves; if they're clogged, clean or replace them. If water doesn't enter the tub, set the temperature control to the HOT setting. If there is no water, set the control to the WARM setting. If all that comes out is cold water, the hot-water inlet valve is faulty. Reverse the procedure to test the cold-water valve, setting the control first on COLD and then on WARM. If the tub overfills, unplug the washer. If water still flows into the tub, the valve is stuck open. In any of these cases, the valves should probably be replaced.

Water continuously seeps into the detergent dispenser, then into the tub. OVer night, the tub is half full, wife opens the door, and water spills all over the floor?

It sounds like you have a leaking solenoid valve, located where the hoses connect to the machine. Find out which one it is by shutting of the water to one side (either the hot or cold) and wait. If the washer fills, the hose that is open is the culprit. Chances are that the leaking solenoid is the one that you use most often (say, if you always wash with cold water). Here's what you need to do after that:
1. Drain down the tub. Easiest way: run a short cycle.
2. Make sure that both water valves (at the wall) are closed. Unplug the washer.
3. Disconnect the hoses from the machine (Caution:Water!). Catch the water in a bucket or pot.
4. Gain access to the solenoid valve that you determined to be leaking by. This is usually done by removing the back panel.
5. Make a sketch of the solenoid, showing which wire goes where, what color it is, etc. This helps in the re-assembly.
6. Remove the solenoid. Take it, along with your make and model number to your local appliance parts supply store.
7. Install your new solenoid.

My duet front loader will fill with a large

there are two water valves above the soap drawer, that are sping loaded to stay shut when power is off. if the water pressure to the machine has increased, sat due to an increase in main pressure from the water board fixing a leek further up the supply, then this could force open the valves. try turning the stop valves at the inlet pipe end, away from the machine, down a quarter turn and see if this stops it.

I HAVE A GE WASHER MODEL WHDSR209DOWW THAT THE WATER OVERFLOWS. HAVE REPLACED THE WATER LEVEL SHUTOFF VALVE BUT IT DID NOT HELP! AT FIRST, IT OVERLOWED ON LARGE LOADS. NOW IT JUST KEEPS FILLING TILL IT...

Check and see if the hose connected to the fill valve and the tub is stoped up you could try blowing in it from the fill valve side to the tub . Hope this helps.

My front loader washer completely spins out and when i wake in the morning it is full of water what could be the problem

This is caused by faulty inlet valve solenoids. They can be tested for continuity using a multimeter. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid. I have a feeling that one or both are defective and are allowing water to fill the tub. I am attaching a photo for reference. If either solenoid is faulty, the water inlet valve assembly will need to be replaced, Sure hope this helped and best wishes.
