I'm sorry to hear about the broken arm of your Lafer Gaga recliner. I can provide you with some general suggestions on where you might be able to purchase a replacement arm for your recliner:
1. Manufacturer's Website: Check the official website of Lafer or the Gaga recliner for replacement parts. They may offer spare parts for their products.
2. Local Retailers: Visit furniture stores in your area that carry Lafer or similar recliner brands. Inquire if they can order a replacement arm for your model.
3. Online Retailers: Explore popular online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, or Wayfair. Search for "Lafer Gaga recliner replacement arm" or similar keywords to see if any sellers offer the specific part you need.
4. Furniture Repair Shops: Contact local furniture repair shops or upholstery shops. They may have access to spare parts or be able to help you find a suitable replacement arm.
5. Lafer Customer Support: Reach out to Lafer's customer support directly. They can provide you with guidance on where to find a replacement arm or assist you in ordering one.
Remember to have the model and serial number of your recliner handy when contacting retailers or the manufacturer. This information will help them identify the specific part you need.
Flip the chair over on its back. You will see a frame and spring... Loosen of the spring that's attached to the recliner frame. You will need to undo the locking nut first. Wind back the adjuster a couple of turns and do the locking nut back up.. not too tight. Should be good now. If not repeat steps to loosen adjuster more. You may need to tighten adjuster if connected to leg not frame.
There are many different rocker recliners. Did you personally flip the chair over and identify the broken spring? If you did not first see how the spring is restrained. Look at the new spring for clues. It is either welded into position or held in place by a large staple, screw, bolt or steel plate. Please take another look, snap a couple photos of the area needing repair, the new spring and forward them. I need more information. Let me know the make, model and let me see what you are working on. Hope to hear from you soon. Good luck.
