if you are using the same carrier you can, just change the sim card to the sidekick and you should be fine.

run some diagnostics test.

menu>>setting>>system info>> menu+shift+D
to find out which is not work. so, that way
you will know what you can do about it.
such as call Customer Care to get a replacement or
take it in a repair shop to fix it for a decent place.
