You might try a hard boot, hold power button 5 sec. then as it reboots use one of the function keys to get into the bios. Usually F2 or F8 or F12. Start in safe mode then check you resolution setting and make sure you video card drivers are up to date. Good luck.

HP has identified a issue with the DV6000Z and monitor. I just reported the same problem to HP and even though off warranty, they will fix free. Power up of DV6000Z you will get 3 beeps and no monitor display. External monitor does not work either. This is a known issue woth the DV6000Z.

hi try using ur vga port to output to a moniter if this works ur inverter is knackered if not maybe screen graphics or inverter.

Try reseating the RAM modules. If that doesn't work test the RAM in another laptop. If nothing works chances are you have a faulty motherboard.
