Samsung RF267AABP Noise problem

This refrigator makes a loud poping/cracking noise about 10 to 15 minutes apart 24/7 since purchased. Note, the ice maker and electronic board for the ice maker have been replaced due to very SLOW ice production, about one harvest of ice in 24 hours. The cause for the noise problem is unkown. The noise sounds as if the plastic interior is expending and contracting which is causing this on going loud noise.
Q: Is this a common problem with this model or is this something that can be fixed??? HELP!!

It sounds like the unit is in defrost. the noise is the souind of the ice breaking up. also you might be able to increase your ice produsction by setting the ice sensor to 17.5 degrees from the current 0 degrees

I think maybe there is a number missing in your model number. But I may be able to help you.You model came with different type of icemakers and some were mechanical and some were electronic. My concern is the popping noise you hear. I just found the part and your model is a RB195ZASH The main component of the ice maker is part number DA97-00258E I think you may need someone to have a look at the ice maker and make sure its not binding while rotating or the defrost heater may be remaining on. There also could be parts that are replaceable for your model but I will need to search for the complete parts list. I will do that for you and send you some links soon, Thanks Sea Breeze

Noises in freezer area of refrigerator

Some refrigerators have a small plastic fan under the bottom shelf of the freezer that circulates air. It's not too unusual for a heavily loaded shelf to rub the fan blades making the noise you describe. If you empty the freezer, you'll fin a few screws holding the bottom shelf in. remove the shelf and inspect the fan and surrounding parts for signs of rubbing. Also tug on the fan blade lightly to see if it is still attached to the motor's shaft securely. New fan blades can be purchased at a good appliance repair shop. Good Luck

GSH25JFRFWW evaporator fan makes loud deep noise at times

GE refrigerators have a faulty design, and so don't defrost completely, so ice builds up in the evaporator coils and on and in the evap. fan motor. Melting the ice will make the fridge more efficient, and the fan quiet again.

The slow, easy way to fix is take out all the food, unplug the fridge, leave doors open all day. Ice will melt, and all will be fine ... for a few months, until the ice builds up again. The fast way is here.

OUR MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR MODEL MFF2557HEB MAKES A CRACKING NOISE

Not sure this is your answer.. but we had a similar issue... it turned out to be the built in Ice maker... even though it was not hooked up it was running... and with no water it would pop and strain.. (like a small motor running).. we were able to stop it by making sure that the Ice Maker was shut off.. it took weeks to figure out.

Not sure its the same issue.. but maybe.

Two issues

Well here is How I fixed My French Door Ice Maker, It made the same loud crashing sounds, and seldom put out much ice. To the point that it made no ice at all.

First, Make sure you can get water out of the front, if not, your water lines may be clogged.

The second thing you can do is hit the secret RESET button on the upper front side of the ice maker. See my first image for it's location, it is a soft rubber button.

The third thing.. In my case the reset button worked for a little bit. But eventually stopped. I had to remove the ice maker, and found that that several rows of ice had gotten stuck. The swinging arm that smacks the ice out would just strip the gears banging that ice to no avail. So opening the ice maker up and cleaning it out helped. I also cleaned the sensor contact with some alcohol. It is a thin metal strip close to where the gearing housing is. This I believe is ultimately where the problem starts. It allows the trays to get overfilled, and the ice can't be released. Once I cleaned out the tray of stuck ice, cleaned the sensor, plugged it back in, and hit the reset button once more, It was making loads of ice once again. If this fails, you can get a complete new ice maker online, I found a vendor on eBay selling it for a reasonable $80. You can use my pictures to see how to disassemble for repair ore replacement. My fridge by the way is the RF267AARS.

the part number is: DA97-05554A

It works with the following refrigerators
Samsung RF267AABP Samsung RF267AABP/XAA Samsung RF267AARS Samsung RF267AARS/XAA Samsung RF267AASH/XAA Samsung RF267AAWP/XAA

Loud periodic buzzing

Are you sure this noise is not just the ice maker trying to cycle without water? If it is not turned off it will dry cycle every 15 min or so.
