High pitch noise when going up hill

In your manual it will tell you what grade of slope the the Scooter will safely go up. If the slope is too great the motor will have too much of a load, and the controller will a over current situation and shut down. squealing noise may have to do with transaxle its self than the Motor Brake. The gears in the transaxle could make the squeal noise.

I HAVE AN UTRAX SCOOTERR, 6 YEARS OLD, JUST REPLACED THE BATTERIES. THE SCOOTER RAN FOR 15 MINUTES THEN STOPPED SUDDENLY. HIT THE RESET AND RAN FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES TIL A SUDDEN STOP. HIT RESET EVENTUALLY...

Hi, that is either a connection problem to the batteries or ( and ) a connection problem to the rear axle, remove the axle and you will still 4 connectors , convince your self that these connections are good..

IT could be the controller breaking down but i doubt it...

Scooter turns on will not move; also shuts off intermittently when going forward

hi okay can you confirm that the rear axle comes away from the main body ? if so please check the connections here where the axle connects to the main frame, a big problem area on these types of scooters.

Not sure of the year but my Super 9 that I bought new a year ago seems to slip a little and a getting a vibration may be from the belt. A Kymco dealer on the phone thinks that the mfg. puts too much grease...

Hi,
Looks like your torque pulley, located at the rear that drives the axle/wheel has the problem.
The friction material or clutch is already worn out and started to slide. Any motor bike tech can replace it with similar part or better buy an aftermarket racing clutch w/ spring that is much better and stronger than the stock parts.
Hope that helps you out.
Thanks for asking FixYa!

Rascal 600T motor gets hot.

Check the electric brake its most likely not disengaging from the motor case causing the motor to strain and overheat. You can unscrew the brake assembly from the rear of the motor and check to see if the brake pad is free and moveable If you can support the rear wheels off the ground and engage the throttle you should be able to hear and see the brake pad release. You can drive the scooter with the brake off the motor but do not disconnect the brake wiring. The scooter looks for that connection to work if it can't find the brake then it will flash and won't operate. now if you do hang the brake off the motor remember you do not have brakes and the scooter can roll backwards when going up ramps or on hills. You will have to replace the brake assembly and reattach it to the motor to have brakes

Hope this helps you

Celebrity XL4, when going up hill, power cuts out. turn key off and back on, scooter will go again for a couple of feet.

Sounds like Overload Cutout ??? Use a Higher Rating Cutout, as going up hill is very hard on Scooters and it also depends on your weight.

1990 d150 needs rear end.

I would stick to using a Dodge rear end as there may be sensors and other connecting items that may not be the same between major brands.....Someone at the salvage yard should be able to tell you what years would interchange with the 1990 you have. I would change out the whole rear end as it is relatively easy once you get the leaf spring hanger bolts undone.
