HP Pavilion DV7-1135nr laptop internal speakers won't play

The speaker on off switch that you touch by the volume control stays orange. If you touch it the mute displays and touch again it removes the mute. But no sounds come out of the internal speakers anymore. If you plug in external speakers or earphones you can hear the audio. The speaker switch also turns the mute on/off for the external speaker output.

Try installing proper drivers for the AUDIO CARD! the orange led only indicates the HTK HOTKEYdrivers are working properly, it does NOT says a thing about audio card drivers! so i suggest you to install proper drivers for audio playback!

SOURCE: hp dv 7-1135nr speaker won't work, headphones do

I suddenly got the same problem on my dv4-1120us today.. However by updating the audio driver to this one it started working again:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp41501-42000/sp41616.exe

You better take a look at HP's website.. maybe you will need a slightly different driver, since your computer is not exactly the same as mine. I'm sure the sound card is the same, but better safe than sorry. good luck!

Buttkicker Gamer 2 Amplifier won't turn on, light stays orange when it should be green. used to be a struggle sometimes to get it to turn green by using the remote, now it just stays orange all the...

Your Gamer 2 Amp turns on whenever an audio signal is present on the input. The amp can have trouble tuning on if the output of the source (computer sound card, etc.) has been turned down. This can happen easily if you use amplified speakers - if you turn the sound card's volume control down - and then increase the volume at the amplified speaker - the resulting sound is the same; even though the signal has been lowered. The problem is that the output from the sound card isn't sufficient to turn on the Gamer 2 Amp.

Try turning down the external speaker volume, then bump up the sound card volume. You'll probably need to adjust the other inputs individually (Wave, Mic, CD, etc) so that none is too loud or soft. Once the input values have been set, gradually increase the output of the sound card in the control panel application etc. while decreasing the volume on the amplified speaker to maintain a comfortable level. Eventually, you'll find the correct volume level on the sound card output that will wake up the Gamer 2 Amp.

If you're still having trouble, review the manual, here. I hope this helps & good luck!

Ans:
a recent update from Microsoft has made changes to your IRQ of sound card chip on the motherboard...
now how to solve it...
either get a new driver for the sound card
or
buy this in Ebay for 1$ and use it in the USB port and attach the speakers to that...
this is called "USB sound card Adpator"
it's a catch 22 situation as the internal speakers will not work as this is a USB adaptor...only external speakers can work...

Hp dv71245dx cannot remove from muted state.

hi
Go to Control panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Volume. Check that Device Volume is at least halfway across the slider and that Mute is unchecked. Go to Advanced and make sure that nothing is mute. Go to Speaker Volume and set the sliders at least halfway across the slider. Go to Advanced, and in Speakers setup choose Laptop Stereo Speakers (if that's what you have). Go to Performance and choose Restore Defaults. Click Apply > OK

plz do inform if this has sorted out the problem
all the best
