My hot point refrigerator will not cool or freeze.is there

A heat pump is an air conditioner that reverses its refrigerant flow. In the cooling mode, the evaporator is cold to the room and its condenser is hot. In the heating mode, a valve reverses the refrigerant flow and makes the evaporator warm and the condenser cold.

If you turn on your AC on one day and nothing happens, you may be dealing with a major component failure. Your vehicle's AC system consists of a compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, a series of tubes and several fans/blowers. If either one of these components fails to do their job, it may result an entire system failure. For example, if the evaporator blower motor burns out, you will get little to no airflow through the vents.

A condenser has coils and a fan to push the air through the coils and thus cool the refrigerant. If the condenser coils get dirty or clogged, or if the fan fails, the refrigerant won't be cooled completely, so the air will come out warm. It's best to take your vehicle to an experienced AC Repair professional to troubleshoot this problem if you don't know your way around under the hood.

This has to do with the diffuser that lets the cool air into the fridge side not opening or the fan in the freezer not turning on to blow the cool air into the fridge. For ferther detail on how to perform repair please reply.

if you hear a fan in the freezer section when the door is open. feel the bottom of the fridge for hot air blowing. if you dont feel any hot air at the bottom, the condenser fan is the problem. if you do feel hot air then you have a defrost issue.

Assuming you are not low on freon:
I have seen this symptom caused by too much moisture in the system too, it freezes near the metering device which kills the refrigeration effect which makes it warm up, the ice melts and it starts working until moisture builds up and freezes which kills the refrigeration effect again.

If in the freezer is warm and the compressor not running but fans are then we need to start at compressor by unplugging and pulling away from wall remove the cover over the compressor and feel the top to see how hot. If too hot to keep hands there leave the plug out of the wall and tell me and I will help or if you don't feel like this is something you can do then it may be better to call in service. Hey there, there re a couple of reasons that an ac unit freezes up. The first thing you need to do is defrost it. Then, check to make sure your filter is clean, the side of the coil the air hits first is clean and the scoop on your fan wheel are clean. Next, start it up wait about two minutes then feel the larger line that is covered in black insulation. Normally it is about 55 degrees. If it is colder, you have an airflow problem (dirty fan, coil, filter) if it is warm, you are probably low on refrigerant. If the line is warm, see what temp the small pipe is. If it is cool, you have a restriction in refrigerant flow somewhere. If it is warm to hot, again pointing to low on charge. Let me know what you find out or if you need anything else. Oh yeah, if you are low on refrigerant, make sure the leak is found and repaired or the problem will keep coming back

can you feel the compresor??? is it hot??? if this is hte case, your compressor is hot and hte fan the freezer section is still circulating warm air sounds as ifyou have a sealed system issue, 5yr manufactue warr.. (should be anyway check your manual)

try moveing the thormister up in the refer it is on the right hand side of refer inside refer box if this does not help use a fan and blow it tru outside vent on low
