My pc left speaker didn't work. no sounds.

If one speaker doesn't work, then I would check the audio with another set of speakers. It could also be the sound balance that is turned all the way to the right. You can change the volume and balance in the control panel and sounds icon.

I deleted the speaker driver and i can't find that anywhere. i downloaded 2 programs trying to fix it, but it didn't work.

Hi alihaider143
Generally , speakers do not need drivers , they are plug and play . You should check your sound card , identify the manufacturer in order to download the driver from their site .
Best regards ,

Hello shashining,

I've read your "post," and I think that the best solution to the 'problem is to:
Get an "Update on the Drivers and Software.
"Most situations cannot be solve by 'pressing a couple of buttons'; sometimes
We have to go into the "Control Panel," or go to a "Website" to get updates for the computer,
"Drivers are needed for Hardware, eg, (Hard Drives, Printers, CD / DVD Players, Audio Sound, Speakers, Microphones, Mouse, Keyboards, and Webcams), to work correctly; also, some Software products."
"Upgrading the computer in any way, or added a 'new' software product?"
Causes the System Configurations, to change!
Many cases involving "Upgrades from an 'older' {Operating System, eg. XP or Vista},

to Windows 7, can cause a change in "Hardware Devices," not functioning properly;

or not to work at all !"

"These easy instructions will help you solve these issues, and hopefully, we'll be able to fix the problem the first time."

"This is what you need to do first!"
1. Click on the Website [below].
2. Enter the information required, Product Type?

Series# number? Model# number?

The {OS - Windows7 / Vista or XP} if needed?.

3.Download the Drivers
4.Turn-off the computer.
5. Disconnect the Speakers.
6. Restart the computer.
7. Install the Drivers.
8. Restart the computer again.
9. Connect the Speakers.
10. Turn on the Speakers.

"Let me know if you need more help, if it didn't fix the problem?
Post a "Comment" to get more help.
"I would appreciate it if you let me know!

My subwoofer is making a strange kind of noise n frequently it goes off by itself..this happened since the left front speaker started making some crakling noise every time n later the situation aggravated...

Hi

Good day. In regards to your issue your speaker connector might be grounded and there's no way to fix that i''m sorry. But try to do this step first to be sure

1.Make sure your speakers are plugged in, turned on, and properly connected to the
computer
. You've probably checked this, but it's amazing how little problems like this (or the
computer's sound being muted) manage to confound people.

2. Plug the speakers in to another computer, if possible. If the speakers work with the other
computer, proceed to the next step. If they don't, you've probably got a problem within the
speakers themselves.

3. Check sound card driver
> Open your start menu (right-click on the "Start" button and choose "Explore"), and find the "My
Computer" icon. Right-click on it and choose "Properties" from the submenu. Click on the
"Hardware" tab and then the "Device Manager" button.
> Expand the "Sounds, video, and game controllers" heading to find your sound card. The name
will depend on what sound card is installed on your PC. It will most likely have a name
containing "audio." It should look something similar to the example above. You'll know
immediately if there is a major driver error because an exclamation point (!) will show over the
card's icon.
> Double-click on the name of the sound card to open a new window. In the new properties window
click on the "Drivers" tab. If there is no "Drivers" tab then you chose the wrong sound device. Go
back and try again. On the "Drivers" tab, click the "Driver Update" button. Follow the Wizard's
onscreen instructions to update your driver. You can also contact the manufacturer of your PC
for the most recent audio drivers. They can usually be found online.
> If you already have the most recent driver, click the "Uninstall Driver" button. Then restart your
computer. When you restart your computer, the driver should reinstall automatically. If it does
not, install it manually with software (or a download) from the manufacturer.

4. Check the "Windows Troubleshooter". On the "Drivers" tab mentioned in the step above,
there is a button for troubleshooting the device. Click on that button, and follow the instructions
on screen.

5. Check the sound card itself. Properly shut down your PC and then disconnect all cables on
the back of your PC, including the power cable. Open up the CPU, making sure to touch a
grounded metal object (a doorknob or metal desk will work, for example) before opening up the
case. This will discharge any static electricity you have built up, which could damage your
computer.
> Locate the audio plug on the back of your PC. The sound card should be in the corresponding
location on the inside of the PC. Remove the sound card and put it back in. The Microsoft site
has detailed directions for installing a sound card; to remove one, simply do the reverse. Once
you have the sound card back in, reattach the cables you unplugged earlier and boot your PC

It this steps didn't work you might consider getting a new one. Hope this help you in someway and thanks for visiting Fixya. Have a wonderful day.

I have Harman Kardon HK206 Computer Speakers and my Father was deleting programs from our computer and didn't know that he deleted the program that reads our speakers so now we aren't getting...

The speakers do not require drivers. The software that has been deleted is for the sound card in the computer. Before you do anything on the computer, just double check that the speakers are connected to the correct socket - usually light green colour. Then check that the speakers work by connecting to another source e.g. MP3 player or Hi-Fi or TV. If the speakers are OK then check the PC output socket with other speakers or headphones.
To check the PC drivers, you need to first check that sound card drivers are installed and working.
Click on the START button. Then RIGHT-CLICK on My Computer, select MANAGE. Click on Device Manager in the Computer Management window. In the list that appears in the right-hand pane, click on the plus + sign next to Sound, video and game controllers. Check that no items have a yellow warnig sign and that various audio devices are listed. You should have at least AUDIO CODECS, LEGACY AUDIO DRIVERS, Manufacturer specific drivers (e.g. Realtek High Definition Audio). If the drivers are not there then you will need to re-install them, probably by downloading them. If any yellow warning signs are shown, then that driver is in error and may also need to be re-installed.
You can also try right-clicking on the driver in the list and select UNINSTALL. Then click on Action in the top menu and select Scan For Hardware Changes to try to re-install the drivers.

I recently wiped my hard drives and reloaded XP Pro and did all the windows updates including service padk 3. The computer has a motherboard sound device and not an expansion sound card and the motherboard...

I hope the problem isn't with your speaker. Have you tried the speaker on another computer or on a DVD player etc..? If it works, well can you adjust the sound from the sound settings or from the "Sound" icon on the Taskbar on your Desktop? If you can't adjust sound from Sound Settings (under control panel) or from the Taskbar's sound icon, then you might have missed to install the sound driver. Try reinstalling the sound driver and make sure the installation is successful. I also hope that you didn't do anything on your motherboard. You can also try plugging in the speaker jack to the front audio port or to the rear or vice versa. These are the things you may try at the moment. Let me know if you need further help.

Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

I had the same problem, I also noticed when I used the FN key the display didn't as well. First download new drivers for the HotKey Device, if you have old drivers on you laptop delete them when you try to re-install it always seem to go to those first. Uninstall the drivers for the HotKey Device and then re-install the drivers. Once complete restart your computer. Run HKeyapp, when I finished my FN key functioned normally again and my speakers were working..Hope this helps
