I DON'T SEE ANYWHERE ON THE SAFE THAT THE KEY INSERTS IN. AM I MISSING SOMETHING IS IT COVERED UP? IT SAYS IT IS TO THE LEFT OF THE KEYPAD I DON'T SEE IT . IT IS A NEW SAFE

You will need a locksmith.

Turn the handset on first until you hear the dialtone, then key in your numbers.

For the "-" did you use the subtract key "-" or the negative key "(-)" to the right of the decimal point?
If you used the subtract key then you need something between it and the "=" since the "0.5x" has to be subtracted from something.

You might need to have the key set to lock in order to use the keypad or check the battery in side the door

Mine too - except I do not have the flap valve - it may still be in there. When cleaning up the water, I found a metal circlip in the bilge.
Anyone know if it is safe to change over inserts after this problem, or might there be something that jams?

jack the back of the mower up..please be safe ! and give it the wiggle test, sounds like the e-clip may have fallen off, look at the other side tire to evaluate what can be missing from the left.. e-clip and key stock is at ace hardware ..cheap !!

Take the single screw off of the entry pad and remove the cover plate. Using the key that came with the safe, unlock the safe. Now, look for a little red button on the inner hinge. Push it in and you will note the yellow led on the the front of the safe turns on. Now, enter a 4 digit code of you choice. This is automatically saved and is the new 4 digit code you press to open the safe.
