Airplane mode - switch Airplane Mode on and then after a few seconds switch it back off. All cellphones can dial the emergancy number (911 in North America) when they are locked, or do not have a service provider selected or enabled. For some reason you are locked out of your SIM card, or your SIM card is not functional

May be your Sim is expire or rejected, please go the service provider or get the new sim.

It's a bit confusing the way you have to put the SIM in hence the reason why it says emergency calls only. Here's how to put the SIM in, the trimmed triangle doesn't have to go inside as you would think (on my SciPhone model I have to put both SIM cards facing down similar to second SIM in image below).

It seems your SIM is not fit properly in phone. Otherwise your SIM card is broken. Please double check those things.

sounds like either your sim card isnt inserted correctly, or the slots arent turned on. sim card slot 2 is the slot closest to the phone, gold chip faces up, sim card slot one is slightly elevetaed off the phone, gold chip faces down. make sure it is inserted all the way down. perss fimly. then go to SETTINGS>DUAL SIM SETTINGS>DUAL SIM OPEN>CLICK OK. This opens up both sim card slots. after you find out which slot you are going to use, you can repeat these steps and only have opened the one you are using.

try taking the sim card out and put it back in...it could be network, tower or sim related....wait at least 20 seconds before putting battery back in..this reboot should help..if not, u should contact ur service provider....

china mobile showing error SIM2 Card registration failed and on desktop it shows emergency number . but after making IMIE no procedure it doesn't work ...also flashed the mobile but the problem still persists....please provide the solution....urgent

this emergency calls only is seen only when ur SIM is not activated or ur cell phone dosent catches the signal. Well it shows the signal full but thats the FAKE signal.
If ur SIM is activated try the MOBILE NETWORKS in the SETTINGS option  >  Connectivity
U will search for new networks and u will find ur NETWORK Operator

If ur SIM is invalid u wil continue receving the same message  "emergency calls only"
