I have a HP Office Pro L7580, model #C8187A. I am getting white horizontal lines across my documents. The white lines appear about every two to three inches. The top portion of the letters are missing

For some reason this happens when I use black ink. If I choose to print my document with red or dark blue ink it doesn't seem to have the white lines. Also it seems to do better when I use the "Best" v. "Normal" Quality print.

If you can't fix the problem the best thing to do would be buying a new printer. They're inexpensive now a days and they're made to break fast so you end up buying a new one anyway. Try to check the users manual in the future

The black print head has a few blocked nozzles.
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

Hp officejet pro L7580 printer alignment failed and ink faded

Hi,

Try the steps below.

Remove the Cartridges ( bottom left side of printer ) and clean the electrical ( golden contacts ) and put them back in.
Remove the Printhead ( Open the Printer cover and you will find the Carriage that moves. Lift the latch and clean the electrical contacts ( golden contacts ) with lint free cloth

Reinstall the Printhead and wait for printer to respond. IT should fix the issue.

When printing photos, black lines appear.

Have you tried cleaning the heads? it should tell you how to in the manual.

2007 won't scan to Word using HP Officejet Pro L7580

unfortunately the following is from MS Word 2007 Help:

The From Scanner or Camera option for scanning documents and pictures is not available in Microsoft Office Word 2007. Instead, you can use your scanner to scan the document, and then you can save the file to your computer.
After you scan the document, you can use Microsoft Office Document Imaging to create a version of the document that you can edit.
Important The first step is to install Microsoft Office Document Imaging, which is not installed by default.

Sorry.
