My SD card has been formatted and videos can be played form it. The problem is when the sd card is install in the the slot it will not load. A message come up on the top left corner saying CLOSE. I took in the the place where i bought the unit from and Audio Kings said the do not have another model and said it the radio. Where do i go from here?

Ignore the above comment... SD cards and USB play fine on there (i have one).
Mine does the same, but leave it for 5-10 seconds after it says close and it loads it up!

No, I think there is no need. Whether you got sd cards or other, you can use this car video recorder,do not need to consider fomat.
