Samsung dvd and samsung plasma-no sound when dvd player plays
I believe I have hooked up the cables correctly but not sure why there are 2 rows labeled 1 and 2 on the back of the tv- I have the cables hooked up according to color on the back of the dvd so I believe the back of the tv is where the problem lies. Can you tell me where they go? audio input, output, have no clue. My tv keeps saying ''hdmi audio not supported'' when I play dvd.

Hi there. To enable your Samsung DVD player to work on your Sony Plasma, you will need two things:
1. The Power cable for the DVD player 2. The Audio(Red and White) and Video(Yellow) cables that should have been provided when the DVD player was bought. If ever these cables are not available, you may buy these at any Hyper Market such as Wal-Mart or a technology store such as Best Buy. These are called Composite Video and Audio Cables.
If you have the previous cables, connect the 3 Audio/Video cables to the back of the Plasma TV, it should contain the appropriate ports. Yellow cable(Video) for the Yellow port. White and Red for the Audio Left(L) and Right(R) ports. Then connect your power, turn the DVD on and switch from TV to other input which should display the Samsung Logo.
How do u hooking up this thing,up by a AV component video RYW signal cable to an analog tv,a LCD,plasma tvs or an a HDMI cable to a LCD or a plasma tvs?More informations please?
do you have the av cables hooked from the output from your dvd player to your television these are the white red and yellow cables......the vcr side and the dvd side use 2 dif cables
2. If they are correct, take out movie, press Play/Stop at same time on the front of the unit (not remote) to reset any settings that may have been changed.
Make sure you have patch cables hooked up from the audio out of the dvd player to audio IN of the Television, using the same named input (Video 1, 2, Fnt, Bck, Aux) that you used for the video in.
if it is hooked up with componant, thats the red blue green cables for video, and red white for audio, then you probabily eather dont have the red pluged all the way in, or you have the red audio, and red video---reversed, make sure to check them on the dvd player, and on the tv, if there correct, try using the composit input, that is the yellow red and white
Need to make sure you have the red, white, and yellow rca connection cables ran from the samsung dvd player to the red, white, yellow input on the back of the dvd recorder. Once you do that make sure you put your dvd recorder on line 1 input. If you look closely on the back of your recorder it should say line 1 input. If your recorder isn't on that input you can put the recorder on line 1 input by using dvd recorder remote and pushing the input button. Make sure you don't push the tv input button the dvd recorder remote there should be a seperate input button or a way to toggle the inputs on the recorder. Once you verify all that turn on your tv and go to the input on your tv that you watch the dvd recorder on and you should see what your recording on the tv.
Have you try to replace your HDMI cable?I recommend you to pick up a good Monster HD700 HDMI cable from a local retail store like best buy or circuit city.In case it isn't the cable problem, you could return it. However, when you are a using the HDMI cable,it is normally either have both picture and sound or nothing at all.Are you sure you didn't hook up the audio OUTPUT from your TV back to a receiver input? Or even an optical output from the TV to the receiver? solutiondoct
