Restarts after 30 seconds

I got this UPS used, thought it just needed new batteries, but with new batteries in, it beeps beeps, fan looses power, beeps again and starts trying to startup again. This happens with the batteries connected or disconnected. With batteries connected, if power is pulled from the wall, after the 30 seconds the unit shuts down and does not attempt to start up.

SOURCE: Toshiba Satellite A60 powers up then off after 2 seconds

Mark F K, truong808, does the cooling fan(s) blow or come on? If not, the system will sense tha ti is overheating and will shut down to prevent further damage. Also, a thermal sensor may be failing on the Mobo and thus keep the fan from initiating. The cheapest fix is to replace the fan. Worst case scenario is another Mobo may be the fix.

SOURCE: furnace starts properly, then shuts down, led flashes 8 times

The first thing to look at is the flame sense rod.
Shut off power to the furnace, remove, clean sensor with steel wool or sandpaper then reinstall the sensor. Reapply power and it should run properly.

SOURCE: APC UPS XS900 is claiming the battery unit is disconnected

HEY !! it's under warranty. I had one of these freak out on me in much the same way once in a while. I did the online help on APC's website. STAND YOUR GROUND if you don't get the answer you want. I held strong even after the "tech" said repeatedly that it was a building wiring fault, which it's not, and harassed him into exchanging it for a new one. Good luck

Tripp-lite omni900lcd, continuous beeping.

Hi,

if your model has a mute/test button, please press this for 3 or 4 seconds to stop the beep. The beep usually indicates an approaching power shutdown of the device and allows you to save any files that are currently in use prior to this shutdown.

Thank you.

Apc beeping twice every 2 seconds

The battery inside the APC is "weak", and the "beep" is telling you to replace the battery inside the APC, or, maybe cheaper, to buy a new APC.

We had a power outage for about 45 minutes a few days ago. Ever since then the Powerware 3110 has been beeping. I turned it off and left it plugged in overnight and when I turned it back on the beeping...

This could be several things, fortunately the device should actually be helping you to diagnose the issue. There are different beeps for different issues. They are as follows:

1 Beep Every 5 Seconds = Power Outage\Loose Plug Connection\Tripped Circuit Breaker\Power Cord Damage or Failure

2 Beeps Every 5 Seconds = Low Battery Alarm

3 Beeps Every 5 Seconds = Battery Needs Charging\Service\Replacement

3 Beeps Every 5 Minutes = The Battery is discharged and battery power is unavailable (If this continues battery replacement may be necessary)

1 Beep Ever 1/2 Second = Power Requirements exceed the UPS Capacity (remove some equipment to lighten the load on the unit)

Continuous Beep = Short Circuit / Input Voltage out of Range / UPS Fault (Likely replacement of entire unit)

That should help diagnose the actual issue. If it turns out the battery needs to be replaced they can be found online for around $20. A simple google search for Powerware 3110 Battery should return what you're after. Good luck!

The unit beeps

I am getting these directly from the user manual (available here: http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/ASTE-6Z7VAQ_R3_EN.pdf)

Issue: On Battery - UPS is supplying battery power to the load connected to the Battery outlets.

Visual Indication: Power On LED - ON (off during beep)

Audible Indication: Beeping 4 times every 30 seconds

Stops When: UPS transfers back to Power On operation, or when UPS is turned off.

- OR -

Issue: Sleep Mode - During On Battery operation the battery power has been completely exhausted and the UPS is waiting for utility
power to return to normal.

Visual Indication: None

Audible Indication: Beeping once every 4 seconds

Stops When: Utility power is restored, or if utility power is not
restored within 32 seconds, or the UPS is turned off.

All other issues are CONSTANT tones, which you did not specify, or there are no audible tones associated with it.

I just replaced the battery with a brand new one. After a few seconds of being plugged in, the unit beeps continuously. What is the problem?

Hi,
Definitely you have replaced a new battery, but my dear friend every battery need to be charged by electricity before using it. Connect the UPS for at least 10-12 hours with power & do not switch your UPS ON while charging.
Good luck...don't forget to rate the solution

Strange noise comes out from the ups after a power cut

5. Continuous Tone (On Battery LED will be flashing)
This alarm indicates that the battery-powered outlets are overloaded.

6. Continuous Tone (On Line and On Battery LEDs flashing) Back UPS OFFICE 350, 400, and 500 ONLY
This alarm indicates that an internal UPS fault has occurred.

Ups taking no load and gets of within 30 seconds

I thought Fiskars quit making UPS, after powerware bought them out ages ago.

Two hours...you need a much bigger UPS to get two hours of run time. A 2200VA depending on t he load is a challenge to run two hours. Something like that would cost $400.00

30 seconds sounds like an over load issue.
