First of all,do u have the strip wire in the red which is the hot side of the sub, next if that doesn't fix it u need to change ur spark plugs they will interfere when the engine is running,so call ur local auto parts dealer and ask for spark plugs that don't interfere with the radio.Hope this helps

SOURCE: how do i fix a frozen 12 inch power acoustik FUBAR-12W sub

You have a case of a blown sub. You will need a recone kit. You ca send it in to a company like fix my speaker or google recone kits for Power Acoustik FUBAR. May be cheaper just to get another sub.

I have power akoustik 12"

If you sub is dual 4 ohm voice coil, you can get a 4000 watt amp (which will give you 1700 watts RMS at 2ohms). The model number is OW-BAMF40001D. Hope this helps.

What the right box for this subwoofer ?

http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp#ser

this site is the best site for working out Cuft for subs, but if your not wanting to figure it out as it gets very complicating a ported box enclosure thats 2 - 21/2 cubif feet is all youd need or 4 Cuft for a sealed box. hope it helps ;)

My speaker only works if you press on it

Check to make sure all the wires are in complete contact, look at the terminals, there should be wires off of that, leading into the speakers, make sure they are all intact.

How do i wire two 15 inch subs to 2 ohms

Hello familia_gome,

Those MOFO-15's have dual 1ω voice coils. So the only way you can get 2 of them to present a 2ω load is to use 1 voice coil on each one with the two of them wired in series. Using both voice coils, you can get a 1/4ω load by wiring the voice coils in parallel and then wiring the subs themselves in parallel. You'll get a 1ω load with the voice coils in series and then parallel the subs. Or you'll get a 4ω load with both the voice coils and the subs in series.

Here's a link to Power Acoustik's PDF for the MOFO's. I recommend that you check out the wiring diagrams on page 3.

Hope this helps.

Will a sony 1000 watt amp model # xm-1652z run 2 dvc 800 watt rms subs?if so,whats the best way to wire them to this amp?thx

personally i wouldnt use a sony amp for powering anything but, however if your going run it what i would recommend is if the speakers are at 4 ohms then run in series per speaker then put the speakers in series as well so you will keep your 4 ohms then run the amp in mono, however just to let you know that amp will not push fubars enough to really make them thump my advice is to goto http://www.sonicelectronix.com  if you have 200 dollars you can get a nice  Hifonics TXi 1508D that will push those monsters quite well thats 1 ohm stable and will barley get warm even after hours of thumpage, also if your running subs monoblocks are the way to go hope this helps you out.

Wiring the coils together

For each sub, tie the DVCs in parallel ("+"s together, then "-"s together). This will make the subs look like 2 ohms to the amp. Then, put one sub on each channel of the amp. That will put about 280W rms onto each sub, the max for the amp.
