Sound like you HDMI settings is not set right. put it back the way you had it so you can change different setting for you HDMI.. like 1080i or p or ip or 720i or p or ip...

1) On your Renco Cable Controller Remote Controller, Press on/off switch to off then press -/--/--- Button for about 12 times then press 2 to restore all UHF channels.
2) Press off again then 0 for about 12 times then 2 to restore all VHF channels. This will also remove the Lock of channels.
