Pentax 145M has lost data from LCD panel

It uses the common 35mm film (also known as 135), DX-coded with ISO from 25 to 3200.

Follow the illustrated instructions beginning on page 12 of the manual.

Go to the support section of the Pentax website....you can download a copy to your computer.

Press the Date button with your finger, the mode on the LCD panel switches as shown

I would say the film in the camera is lost.
Take it out with as little damage to the film as possible. If required cut the film and remove from the camera spool.
Try the camera with no film, does it work.
It could just be a bad roll of film, unlikely but possible.

No film.

Pentax ME Super was one of my favorite camera, small and clean shutter release. But it has been about 25 years since it was manufactured. They happen to use rubber break within shutter unit and as any rubbers, it started to deteriorate and melt between the shutter-blades. This prevents the complete cycle of the shutter and jams the winding. You may be able to unjam the winding but eventually you have to overhaul the shutter unit. Overhaul charge is around $100 in US repair market. -James

manual rewind is next to lcd panel right side. hold the button down for 3sec. the re-wind symbol will be displayed on the lcd panel.while holding down the re-wind button depress the shutter button. film will re-wind.

Say you're using ASA/ISO 100 film:
Photos come out overexposed and you were shooting in A or S or P modes.
Just set your ASA/ISO to 200: this will gives one stop less and images will be correct.
