I have a new laptop and an older printer and do not have the start up disk..Its the lexmark model printrio p3150

    Its a vista and both the links given so far are good links neither actually installed right though so I guess its the Vista thing

Is your laptop running XP?

I found a driver for that printer at http://www.lexmark.com/lexmark/site/home/0,6932,204816596_0_0_en,00.html

Select Driver Downloads from the menu on the upper right.
Pick the Driver Finder item (first in the list)
Enter the p3150 model number and it will populate the dropdown for you.
Tell it your operating system and the driver will download for you. Good luck!

This is the driver download page for your printer: http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?lxkprod=Lexmark+Photo+P3150 Unfortunately they don't have a driver listed for Vista. This is pretty common, a lot of companies are slow to develop drivers to be able to use their products with Vista.

at the top right is a drop down for drives and downloads. go to driver finder for the drivers and publications and user guides for the manual.

I am guessing your new PC has Windows Vista.

Although Lexmark doesn't have Vista drivers available for that model, people have had success using Windows 2000 drivers with many older Lexmark printers.

It may work, or it may not. The only other option is to wait for Lexmark to release the Vista driver. They are always adding Vista drivers for the older models.
