I need a zero size phillips bit, and a zero size square drive bit. I need quick release shanks. Preferably just a couple of each from Amazon. I'm having trouble with the size notations, and the proper...

For the first, I used "Phillips 0 driver bit" in my Google search. That got several links, including https://www.amazon.com/Phillips-Driver-Long-Miniature-Screws/dp/B07NBP3D7K . The second search was "#0 square driver bit". Amazon had a single bit in stock. Ace Hardware has this 2 pack: https://www.acehardware.com/departments/tools/power-tool-accessories/screwdriver-bits/2160976. Both of these are 1" long 1/4" hex shank for use in any quick-change 1/4" bit holder.

I hope this helps.

You can change to any bit, but have to change the compression collar inside the end of the shaft. For example if the tool shaft size is 1/8" you need to use the 1/8" collar etc. Make sure you use the corresponding bit with the corresponding compression shaft size or the bit will not lock in position when you tighten the collar.

I need help attaching the new bit to the dremel model 1100

Hi leigh abear...
I will send you to the dremel website where you can watch a video on the dremel model 1100 and it will explain how to use it and change bits, cutters, ect.
Do change your bit without going to the website push down on the large button on top to lock the tool, and then you wil loosen the bit holder bu turning it anticlockwise to loosen the grip on the tool you have in the bit holder.

How to replace the spline and coupling

The coupler nut tends to be screwwed on so tight that even when undone, the collet has bit into the soft shaft of the tool. Holding the rotation lock button in, grab the shank with some strong needle nose pliers and twist the shaft loose or pull it off completely with the nut and then seperate the nut from the shank when it is out of the Dremel Tool. A lot of machine tools are tightened too much, which makes the shanks get all damaged so use only the required tension on that collet nut.

I do not know how to change to bit in my dremel rotary 7.2v tool

it is easy, you may find first time that it will not be so, but if you follow advice, it will become even more easy.

1. switch off motor
2. unplug from power
3. find button on the base close to rotating bit, press and hold, this is shaft lock which if applied correctly (you may need to rotate shaft a bit till it fully engage) will stop shaft from rotating
4. apply small spanner (provided with set) to collet collar (collet have two indentations fitting perfectly little spanner)
5. if shaft is held up, turn spanner anticlockwise, then use your hand to undo collar completely
6. remove collet and bit - separate bit from collet
7. collet comes in many sizes, select correct size for new bit
8. insert collet into throat
9. lightly screw in collar
10, insert new bit, at least 2/3 of the bit shank must be inserted into the collet!
11. held shaft lock button pressed
12 hand tighten the collar till bit is locked firmly in place
13. do not use spanner to tighten! if collar do not held properly, re-tighten by hand only!
14. wear always glasses when operating dremmel, or any other rotating machinery, it is not a toy! and exploding bit will penetrate not only your bit of woo, or metal but your eye as well... and your have only two and no spares...

if you find my advice useful, please do not hesitate to vote4 for me, or leave comment, or both... thanx!

Flex shaft attachment

Takes an adapter to screw onto the nose of the Dremel. The shaft itself is gripped by the correct size collet tightened as you would any bit.

Worn front bearing on Dremel Multipro

You can put new grease into that bearing without removing it by following the steps in this M.S. Paint drawing I made. After a bit of protest, mine started running a lot better.
