Their's a sensor that the Plug from the Finisher to the copier is not read, first make sure the "Attachment Kit' thats the part where when you push the Finisher to the Copier it Locks, their is a metal tab that sticks out and hits a "Sensor" if it doesn't hit the sensor it will keep telling you attach finsiher or close cover, if it's too annoying you can remove the finisher and unplug it from the rear. On the cover thier are alos sensors that need to be activated by tabs,MAKE SURE these are not missing if you do you need to order these items from "Koycera-Mita" Check those sensors

The finisher output guide is usually a small plastic piece about as long as the paper feed that can be opened to see the rollers, make sure that is put back down before you print.
check if the microswitch on the finisher right side is broken,
the locking bracket attached to the copier left door has to engage
this switch to turn off attach finisher error
First check the alignment front and rear of the finisher, check the
finisher exit guide rollers if the paper is exiting properly, open both
rear and the front cover and check the lower gears attach is the
up/down drive belt. that lower gear one might be broken by the pin slot.
This code is for a bin/tray raising or lowering failure in the finisher.
This can be caused by either the trays not being fully inserted into
the finisher or something stropped the bins from raising or lowering.
Check the trays and make sure they are as close to the finisher/fully
installed as possible. Then turn off then back on the main power switch
(NOT the stand by one on the control panel)
You should see the bins raising and lowering into their home position.
Hello rob,
the copier sees the finisher is attached but it does not believe the finisher is firmly docked against the copier. There is a mechanical latching system that holds the finisher firmly against the copier and has a positive latching system, This externally mounted hardware that resides on the copier not only has a physically latching mechanism **** also has a metal tab that sticks out and penetrates an area of the finisher. This small **** on the finisher has a switch inside,When the finisher is close enough and secured to the copier the metal tab on the copier penetrates the **** on the finisher and presses the switch and tells the copier the finisher is in place. The finisher is either not close enough and docked securely to the copier, or the metal tab on the copier is bent and not reaching the switch on the finisher, or the switch was damaged by the move.
between the copier and finisher there have a atuacter to atuact the door sensor, therefor just push finisher perfect contact the machine will resolve your problem.
You may hve to adjust the finsher to close with out any force. There has to be a inter-lock switch that has to be closed to show that the finisher is closed.
Hello Jeremy,
This error code has to do with your finisher. The auxillary tray is not finding its home position or does not leave the home position within the alotted time. Check for binds. I have limited exposure to the K4/3 finisher but try this. Turn the copier off, and open one of the finisher doors. Now turn the copier back on with the finisher door open so it cannot initialize. Once the copier is basically ready except the finisher door is open, close the finisher door and observe all the **** (and theres alot) initialize. This may help determine the problem. I hope this helps...........................SPINAL
Make sure the actuator pin is still attached to the mid left section of the copier. It's a metal pin about 3 inches long (we call it the "shwartz", ha,ha) that is inserted into the finisher when the finisher is pushed close to the copier. It is normally mounted with 1 or 2 screws.
