I brought the new lg cookie kp500 couple of days ago , and its bin working fine til toiday it wont switch on . ive tried charging it and it says its fully charged but when i try to switch it on nothing happens . what should i do ???
If you can go to LG Service Center the only solution in your problem is to update the software of your lg cookie. Because I have done it and its working good.
I experienced the same probz. just tried my luck on removing and inserting the battery. it worked like a charm. :)
do this but not continuously..spare a 5 minute gap on doing the procedure. hth
Hi i had the same problem, and I took it back to the shop, and he told me it was a water damage problem. he told me that if the little dot on the phone and/or the battery is pink, then it is a water damage problem. he said the phone was compleatly dead and usless.can any one confirm this

I Restored my LG mobile phone and turned it off and now that I tried to turn it back on, it is only showing the LG sign and the website under it. Does anyone have a solution for this problem, the mobile phone is unlocked and I dont really want to take it back to a store and not have a moble phone for a week or more.
Ive had this problem, take it back to the place you got it, its a power supply fault (even if it is charged) its also a network fault. it only takes like a week to fix.
Well, if you put the charger into the phone and it shoes, that it charges, than the phone works properly, the only thing that comes to my mind is that the red button (ON/OFF button) is not working. Is it users fault or not I better do not deside.
If you can't even charge the phone, theres a problem with a battery or with a charger. New battery first 3 times should be charged at least for 16 hours. Those 3 times you must wait while it completely runs out (the phone turns off). If you did otherwise - than it's your fault.

Ive also purchased a LG Cookie. I'm having similar problems as everyone else but it only shuts off when I'm listening to music, I'll listen to 3 tracks and then 'poof' , its off and I cant turn it back on again unless I remove and then replace the battery.

I've tried removing the battery, leaving 5 minute gap before inserting it again - and it worked, for a week or so. later I got blue screen few times; now it turning on only to show the logo and the website under it. I honestly recommend anyone with the same ptoblem returning the phone to the store to check what is wrong - either the power supply or software should be replaced.

Carphone Warehouse said my Cookie had physical damage broken tracks on charging socket. They said it was my fault and beyond economical repair. So they refused to repair it or give me a new phone. Needless to say the phone has not been damaged or dropped and I have been careful when inserting the charging lead. It is simply disgraceful that a phone can fail within 6 weeks of careful use and the customer has no redress. Result - a dead phone that will not charge.
i have the same problem buh mines switches on (the lg screen comes with the website) but then it sitches off than reapeats the processes what do i do please help??
Thank you blinkazz. The LG Prada uses the same battery and charging lead so I was able to eliminate a faulty charger or battery. If the fault as described by the repair shop was actually with the charging socket, then I would expect power up with a charged battery. In other words there is a further problem with the phone.
my lg cookie pink was only purchased 4 days ago and it wouldnt work yesterday at all. i ended up taking the battery out and inserting it again and then it powered up. when its connected to the sat nav it just switches itself on and off continually.
I have the same problem with my LG cookie. It was bought at chrismas and has just packed up. Actually turned itself off during use and would not turn back on. It will not even charge. Took it to carphone warehouse and they said similar to one of the other reviewers that it had been damaged inside and that it was beyond economical repair. THIS IS A CON !! They have stated that my warranty is niw void and will not replace the handset. SHAME ON YOU CARPHONE WAREHOUSE ! It looks to me that this phone has a major fault and carphone ware house are dealing with it by ripping customers off and telling lies to wriggle out of their warranty commitments.
I bought two LG KP500/Cookie phone for my chilfdren for Christmas and both phones have developed the same problem of not charging due to a faulty power/headphone socket. I took it back to the Carphone Warehouse on separate occasions who said the socket had been damaged and is outside of the manufacturers warranty on both phones, I sent it back to LG and the have said the same thing. The phone has either been dropped, crushed or has physical damage though externally they are in perfect condition, The accompanying photograph shows the socket coming away from the circuit board and in my opinion is a major design flaw. Expect many of these phones to be returned with the same problem. Buy one but don't use it and it will last forever? Thanks to LG & CPW for ripping me off.

this just happened to my LG cookie - when i woke up it had turned itself off and wouldnt switch on, even though i know the battery is full.

the same thing is hwppwning with mine. only its letting me type in my pin and its flasking the phone menu and then a second later it will switch off!!! and then its not stopping turning on and off and is doing it by its self over and over again?

my Lg Cookie won't switch on, it pretends to be switching on but only shows me the LG Logo and their website addresss. i have tried taking out the battery numerous amount of time, and charged it but it still doesn't work.

It's also happened to me. It was low on battery so it switched itself off. now it won't even charge!
my lg cookie only displays the lg logo & the website and before when ever i went on pictures it would switch of after 5 seconds
the LG cookie will not turn on even when the battery is "fully charged". how ever it does turn on with-out external power, but only turns on as far as the O2 start up screen. can anyone help?
