SOURCE: My Nikon coolpix l810 will not connect to my windows 7 computer

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer or Picasa.

What size is lens cap on nikon l810

I suspect it's 25mm but without actually putting a ruler across the front of the lens I can't be sure. If you want to buy one, you can order one from Nikon at http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Nikon-Products/Product/Lens-Caps/25849/LC-CP25-Lens-Cap.html

I have to reset the date and time on my Coolpix L810 everytime that I change the batteries. Why do I have to do this?

The L810 has a small internal long-life battery for maintaining the date, time and other settings. This battery should not be confused with the batteries you use for general camera operation. Like all batteries, that memory back-up battery has a finite life span. You will need to have a camera repair man replace it.

I recorded videos at a concert with the new nikon coolpix L810 and the sound on the video is horrible. What is causing the noise in my video? sounds like wind is blowing or a crackling noise

The problem is the microphone on the camera. The mic on the camera is for recording sound in more normal environments. The sound level on a typical concert is much higher than normal, and the mic on the camera just doesn't have what it takes to record sound at those levels.

One possible solution is to record the sound with a dedicated audio recording device, and combine the video and audio in your video editing software.
