Colin, hello Hey, My son has a 2001 Honda Civic Standard .... The motor went bad and we picked the option to have an Authorized Honda dealership find a replacement engine and install. This engine came with a 6MO / 6,000 mile P&L warranty. The replaced engine went bad in one week and the Honda Dealership found another engine to replace the second one with. This replaced engine now has a bad Air Valve pump and a bad Electric Voltage regulator [ alternator ? ] which the Dealership is asking my son to pay for. These replacement costs come to around $500.00 .... I am not able to find anything on the internet that shares replacement engine warrenties to see what differences might be from agreement to agreement. Can you help me with finding an agreement or better yet, what are your thoughts on who should pay for those parts. If they are not a part of the replacement engine, then I understand that we should pay the repair costs.... if they came with the replaced engine, I feel they should be a part of the warrenty. Thanks Colin and I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Jeff from Wisconsin.

Sounds to me like these came on the replacement engine and should be paid for by the dealership, didnt they keep the old engine and why cant they take the parts of it?

It is not an eays job. I would have it done by a tecknician so you have a warranty. The honda dealer is your best bet because you will oem parts and the job will be done right . then you are good for another 90,000 miles. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer.

well, differential repair can be costly but, the dealership will cost the most to be honest. about around $1200 at the least.

Maybe the solution
There is a recall on the ignition switch,
My 99 Ody with 120K would suddenly switch off and come back while runing, Take it to dealer and report to Honda, Since out of warranty. The dealer would do the repairs estimated at $100 charge to you.

My 2001 Honda Civic EX blower motor won't blow, checked fuses under hood they are good

if u have a test light you can check and see if you have power at the blower motor connector. if so you have a bad blower motor if not you might have a poss short or bad resistor. you can always try banging on the motor to see if it starts working again

My honda civic 1996 speedometer not working properly, nidle stack

I had the same problem. Went to the Honda Dealership and found that the wiring harness rubs on the back side of the motor causing an intermittent short. My wish to look at the wiring harness. They fixed it for about $100.00 and no more problems.
