SOURCE: microwave just stopped cooking!

there could be two problems with your microwave. your diode could be bad or your magnetron is no good. Its definitely one of the 2. most likely the magnetron. if the microwave is more than 5 years old, and it is the magnetron i would suggest that you replace the microwave. if you would like instructions on how to change the magnetron or diode let me know and i'll walk you thru it. although i do recommend u let a professional take a look at it.

SOURCE: LG 1925 Microwave suddenly stopped cooking, other functions work fine!

What you said about the the clock leads me to suggest that you first unplug it for a few minutes then plug it back in. It may just need a good reset. If you don't have your owner's manual you can download one here: http://www.lge.com/support/manual.jsp The mention of odor concerns me. It may just be a bit of food or grease on the waveguide cover, which is a small sheet or panel on the wall or ceiling of the cooking cavity, but it may indicate the failure of a part in the high voltage section. You may have an intermittent door switch. SOURCE: Microwave turns on, but no heat or turntable movement

The problem is that the magnatron is not getting power. Chance is that if could be a bolwn fuse inside the unit. If the fuse don't fix it then that leaves the charging diode, capacitor or the magnatron, or high voltage xformer of which without technical epertize I would not recomend attempting to replace. good luck

SOURCE: Everything works except heat

this is something you should probably call a repair technician for, due to the danger of the componentry.

Usually in ther case of this problem, even a technician will advise you to replace the unit, in the minds of cost effectiveness and safety...

Samsung microwave oven Model # SMH9151S. Turntable not turning fan inside (not the exhaust fan) is not working either.

It may be a failed relay on the control board, which I repair affordably.

See my profile picture if you need more help.

It has power but is not heating anything

In order for a microwave oven to cook foods, its "engine" - the magnetron - must also be functioning. If the keypads, turntable, lights and all other functions are working but the food is not cooking, the magnetron has failed. Some local repair shops can provide a reasonable cost to replace, and it comes down to how old the oven is and is it worth repair or replacment.

Food still cold after cooking

Is this a combi oven? If it is not-and only a micro then there is no heating element. Try it on micro(if its a combi) with a mug of water for approx 30 seconds to test it. If its a combi-is the micro function still working?

Have GE JVM2050 over the range microwave, which stopped heating food and water since this morning. All other functions including light, key pad, clock, turntable work normal. The magnetron sound also

if everything works except the heating, it is most likely the mag tube is on its way out.........that is the most common reason for it not too cook.......since the microwave is a GE and it is 3.5 years old, i would say you are better off buying a new microwave, the mag tube starts at around $70.00 and up + the labor it costs too have a service person put it in........around another $60.00
