Power Acoustik PTID-8920B won't stay powered on

Just installed the head unit today, when I turn the power on in the car the unit powers up for about 3 seconds then shuts back down. No display, no sound but if I hit he eject button the LCD will come out with no picture. I've checked the fuses, I tried resetting the unit, and there is no change.

Just ground you brake wire directly to the metal frame. It should work fine. Goodluck.

I have a question. Everything is working perfectly except for there is no picture on the TV nor DVD. It was working fine until the other day when I messed around with some wires seeing if any of them were loose. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: Have one wire for audio sub out, but two input ports to amp

This one Wire should be for the +. Try connecting the + to the Head Unit and - to a Common Ground. At the Worst, You will Blow the Amp Fuse if not Correct. The Lead from the Head Unit is Only an Off and On from the Ignition. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

no, you can't, because watching a video while you drive is an insanely stupid thing to do.

Speakers are thumping and cracking when powered up...why?

you are better off setting your deck speakers amp to a high pass filter setting on the amp. Adjust gains to increase desired bass and clarity. Turn off loud button if you have one, that will distort your deck speakers.

You can Actually get a Single to Double RCA Splitter for this. I think that Wal-Mart Used to Carry them. If not, Any Stereo Install shop has these and will sell them to you. You Might Try Best Buy also. Their Car Audio Install Guys may have one to sell to you.
