CK-7w mutes stereo

I have a CK-7w nokia hands free kit installed in my mercedes c180. However it has permenantly muted my stereo. I was using it okay for a year or two and connected via blue tooth (there is no cradle). I was trying to connect my phone via bluetooth a while ago but the stereo is now permanently muted. Can't get anything out of it Phone/CD or Radio. The display on stereo just says 'muted'. I've tried ignition on/off, taking all the fuses out of the fuse box, holding the remote button down for 10 and 20 seconds(both with ignition on and off). Can you advise anything else? Cheers

Disconnect the battery for a few seconds...I had the same problem and removing fuses didn't work.

If cutting the power to the kit dont work try removing the radio and removing the yellow wire from the back for the radio (the one coming from the junction box of the kit). that should get the radio/cd working properly. inspect the wire and make sure its not earthing anywhere behind the dash. radio isnt realy that easy to take out if you dont know what your doing.

My hands free kit in my car is frozen and the radio is saying mute

The Nokia kit has locked up, you will need to remove power from the kit for a few minutes to allow it to reset. If you do not know where the fuse or control box is you can try disconnecting battery on car but check with your vehicle manufacturer as some cars are sensitive.

red is battery live black is earth blue is ignition live yellow is radio mute.

I have a nokia ck-7w car kit and people can hear echoing when ever making calls to me.

this is because you are using a non Nokia phone, this kit has old bluetooth software which cannot be updated like newer kits.

Cannt seem to find the connections for ford focus 08 plate to install a nokia ck-7w hands free kit can any one help pleeeeeaase

I would recommend you buy an audio integration lead from Autoleads or similar. this will allow you to plug it into the back of the radio and the sound for the handsfree will come from your car speakers.

Nokia CK-7W car kit won't stay switched off when ignition is off!

Main control box could be anywhere behind the dash, try under the glovebox or under the radio. If you have a mute harness to make the sound come through the speakers, this could also be the problem as is sound like you have 12v constantly on the blue wire.
