I think you need to reset the setting for showing on task bar, as in de-select the option, click ok, and then go back and select to show in task bar.

If this does not work, you system tray on the taskbar may be hiding some icons.

How to setup acer travelmate 2410 wireless lan step by step as i dont know which wireless driver has to be install & how to setup.

Hi there,
You can install and configure the wireless lan very easily, First of all you require to download the driver for your Acer Travelmate 2410 by below mentioned link
Wireless LAN Driver (Approx 12 MB)

when you download the driver simply right click and extract to the folder, now run the setup and it will install the wlan Drivers automatically, when the drivers are installed reboot the system once so they will run properly, now you will notice one new wireless icon in taskbar along with clock , simply click on the icon and it will show you all the available wireless networks in your area, click to choose your desired network (might require passkey if its secure) and you will be able to access internet/network with wireless connectivity
feel free to contact us if you require more assistance, Regards, Bilal

My toshiba laptop does not work on a lan. The icon

When you look at the Manage Network Connections link on the Network and Sharing Center you do not see
Local Area Connection?
Do you see Wireless Network connection?
You need to check the device manager to see if the card has been disabled.

It should show two entries with no red or yellow marks. One for wireless (WLAN) and one for wired (Ethernet)

I reformatted my compaq presario laptop using winXP pro, v.2002. It wasn't the original OS installer that came with the laptop, it was one my friend lent me. The problem is, the network adpater icon...

while reformating the lan drivers and other related drivers are being wiped out. so load your lan driver software again. if you find it hard to get 1, then goto www.hp.com and refer your model, then get all drivers from the site. to be more sure if your drivers are not installed,go on device manger, and check the question mark(?) with yellow colour, all those are not installed..load it

If you don't what kind of your new LAN card, just install a program that identify the name & model of your LAN card device. Here is the link to install that freeware software www.astra32.com run this program to diagnose the system and identify of your new LAN card device. Good luck!
