Microsoft office '07 'error 25004 per-user install not supported'

I cannot reinstall my legit office '07 pro. I uninstalled it because I was having issues with my Outlook that I could not fix and I decided I wanted to start over. When I reinstalled in the first time it went back to the exact way it had been before the uninstall with the same problem, all my folders the same, etc. So I tried it again? This time, when I tried to reinstall it, halfway through it gave me that message above 'error 25004 per-user install not supported'. I am extremely frustrated. I do not have any program in the Suite installed and working. HELP! Thx, JW

Error 25004.config.xml not specified; A valid config.xml file must be authored when deploying '(null)'. i am installing microsoft office enterprise 2007 and i enounter this problem..how will i

If the version of windows installed on your computer is not activated you would face issues to use any applications once the product is expired.

But if you have an issue with office programs with an error 25004 on an activated version of windows
Then the reason might be corrupted installation of office 2007 on the computer.
Uninstall office 2007 manually from the computer then
re-install it and check if it helps.

Problem installing office 2007.

Hi,

You need to uninstall any pre-release version of the Microsoft Office 2007 system .

it seems that if you have a version of the 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in or Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS installed, this may be the culprit. In both cases, by performing an uninstall on this add-in via the Control Panel, and then installing Expression Web, everything works okay. You can even re-install the Office 2007 add-in when you're done.

Goodluck,

When trying to install MS Office 2007 the installation interupts and it gives an error numbered 25004 , per -user install not supported . how can i fix this problem?

this is exactly as it sounds...you need admin rights and choose all users when it shows you to choose whom to have access to this program ...this being a Microsoft program ..do not supports limited access ...and need an administrator account to be installed and the access to all users...no mater of type..

Try YourUninstaller 2008, 1-Click Cleaner (Your uninstaller 2008) or TuneUp Utilities 2008/2009.

Try to delete every part of the office from your PC. Files in Document and Settings/User

Dig a little bit in your PC. In Windows folder, Program Files, Doc & Settings.....

My Office 07 will not open, so I was going to try to uninstall it and reinstall it, but when I go into Control Panel to uninstall Office 07 a window pops up saying, "This product installation has been...

Try renaming the install directory. Normal install is located C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12. Rename office12 to office12bak (just in case you need to put it back again). This will normally allow you to reinstall office again.
