I have a "R4i King" but it doesn't work since R4i last update. I'm searching for the newest firmware for the card but R4-King.com was deleted some weeks ago. Anyone help?

My son just has downloaded a upgrade to his dsi xl 1.4.3A -and now his r4i king revolutionfor ds card doesnt work in it , it comes up with "an error has occurred-press and hold power refer top opps...

It's possible that somebody has updated the DSi console to the latest 1.4.3 firmware. A lot of flash cards, especially fake ones (The R4i King sounds like a fake card since the official one doesn't have the word 'King' on the box), no longer work on the 1.4.3 firmware. Always make sure the card does work before any console upgrade or this can happen. :-(

If you're 100% sure you have a genuine R4i card (it will show r4i-sdhc.com, with the hyphen [r4isdhc.com is fake] on the box or the card if it's genuine), then try the YouTube video attached to this post. Hopefully that will fix the issue, remember you need an older DSi (pre-1.4.3) or DS Lite to apply the update.

You'd probably have to buy a new DS card to back up your games on - if you're US based I'd recommend DSCardWorld.com but if you're Europe based then NDS-Gear.com is the way to go. Both of these places only sell genuine cards and are authorised resellers fo popular models like the Acekard 2i, Supercard DSTWO and Cyclo DS iEvolution.

Simple i have a r4 with sd card with over 90 games in it but when i turn on the 3ds i see the card but when i click on it it says an erroe has occurred ...what is the proublem

It's going to depend on which r4 card you have and if you've updated your firmware on your R4. The only versions of the r4 card that are compatible with the 3DS are "R4i Gold", "R4i Gold 3DS", "R4iDSN" and "R4iDSN 3DS". If your R4 card is not one of these, then unfortunately this will mean your R4 is not going to work with the 3DS. If you have one of these cards, you'll simply need to update your firmware:

- R4i Gold 3DS from R4ids.cn (3DS V2.0.0-2 Patch for R4i gold 3DS card)
- R4i Gold from R4ids.cn (3DS V2.0.0-2 Patch for R4i gold (NON-3DS) card)
- R4iDSN 3DS (R4idsn 3DS 2.0.0-2 Patch)
- R4iDSN (R4idsn 3DS 2.0.0-2 Patch for Non-3DS card)

Bought a R4i Red card,installed newest version 1.4.3b,put new software on the Micro SD card as well,my DSI XL sees the R4i card and I can play games but after a few minutes all data seems to be deleted and...

The R4i Red card might be a fake (the genuine one shows r4i-sdhc.com on the box, note the hyphen!), and if you've updated your console to the latest 1.4.2 or 1.4.3 firmwares it's unlikely to work. Check out R4 DS Revolution Cards at www.r4dsrevolutioncards.com (info site) to differentiate between different versions of R4i cards and make sure you buy a genuine one!

A lot of the fakes will indeed work when you buy them but as soon as you update your console they'll stop working.

You should know that r4 king is clone flashcart. You need to buy the genunin card from the official reseller here http://r4i-3ds.com

How did you go solving the problem. I had a similar problem when a friend of mine gave me a cdrom version of the software that fixed the problem up straight away. The only problem is it is about 80meg in size. If you know a way of me sending it to you I am more than happy to do so.
