Vizio P42HDe Plasma TV - Audio, but no picture

Unit suddenly went blank, still has audio but no picture (42'' Plasma TV). Any ideas on what's wrong and what this will cost to repair?

I've had a P42HDTV10A for about 2 1/2 years. Last week I suddenly lost all video. The sound is fine but no video at all. I heard one large pop when I turned the unit on. So far I have gotten no response from Vizio tech support. I'm trying to find a repair location that will work on Vizio units in the San Diego area.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Check the backlight inverter and the Y-sus board the one to your left. if those are fine check the bottom right buffer board

Your input cable is in wrong slot...switch around and it should work.

I was watching TV last night and the picture just went out. I can hear the audio but no picture. Is there a reset process or any ideas?

Try to unplug the unit for a while all day if you can.

No video/picture

Solution is to get it fixed (hopefully under warranty).

I have the same issue after owning the Vizio 42" LCD for just 5 months. They are coming to replace the part this week. I will also be purchasing the extended warranty as well, to avoid this problem in the future.

sounds like your input board went out. I had the same problem on the ILO version of this panel. Got a replacement part off of Ebay. Search for Ilo plasma on ebay and it will come up
