Clear the drum counter.
open the front cover leave it open and then press clear button hit number 1 for yes and that's it.you can close the front cover. :-)

How do I replace the toner in my Brother Intellifax 4100? The new toner cartridge just arrived, but this is the first time we have had to replace it.

Open the front of the machine. Lift and pull the whole unit (drum) out. Once you have it out it's pretty simple to remove the old toner from the drum and install the new one.

Wow. It's obscure and in the manual on page 13-24. Remove and replace the drum leaving the front cover open. Press CLEAR and then 1 to answser the Replace Drum YES question.

should be in the box with the drum. if not open front cover touch clear key touch number 1 key

Black pages

Try to copy a document. If the copy comes out black then the the scanner is dirty. Clean the scanner glass (products on the market that clean by sending through the scanner) and try to copy again. If after cleaning the scanner, the copy is still black you have a scanner issue and the laser/scanner unit will need replacement. Error 7C

There's no manual for "machine error 7C" in Bro IntelliFax 4100. To fix this issue. You will need to pull out the toner. Note: the toner and drum are connected.....At the left corner of the drum. You will see a blue tab......You will need to slide the blue tab back and forth for 20th times....And put the toner back in its place.....This is just a temp fix but you need to replace the drum to have it working its fullest......

Either the laser unit is dirty or blocked. Or the drum cartridge.

Intellifax 4100 grinding noice

Probably caused by the toner cart. Only use genuine new Brother brand supplies. Remans fail quite often with Brother machines.
Possibly bad gears on fuser drive. But with the poor print quality, I suspect it is the toner.

Brother Intellifax 4100 - drum needs replacing

The drum is what the toner goes into. DR-350 or a similar #. You can get at staples or office max.
