Bunn vp-17 leaks around the bottom

Either a bad thermostat grommet or a bad pour in pan gasket. Either can be found on eBay for cheap. Disconnect from power, take off the top panel. Pour water in to pan and see where water comes from. Thermostat grommet pulls out easily by hand. Pan but must be removed from the tank inlet to replace gasket.

Installation of grommet on model cwtf 15 ( 1 lwr/2 upr pf

Which grommet, there are several on the bunn models, but the most commonly replaced one is the one for the P. stat. Remove the top panel there are 2 screws one in front and one in back, then lift the top 2 burners off machine that will give you access to the tank.

The top burner on our bunn coffee maker is getting to hot, causing the coffee to pop, do you have any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Please advise

Bunn makes a spacer that goes on top of the burner to put space between the burner and the coffee pot, or you can make your own out of a coat hanger. The only other way to fix this is to replace the warmer plate.

BUNN Pour-Omatic

Most likely it is your tank heater, but look on the top of the tank heater, because sometimes the wire will burn off the top of the element

Coffee Brewer comes out warm not hot

look at the top of the coffee maker you'll see two screws and the warmer tray and the cover for adding water. remove the two screws and lift the top off. the warmer has two push on spade terminals. pull the wires off them. below is a tray where the water goes and you'll see a brass bushing. this is screwed into a fitting on the water tank. use a piece of steel as a spanner and unscrew this fitting. don't lose the gasket that's under it. the main wires for the burner element and thermostat are also under this tray. look at the top. there's nine screws that hold the top on the water tank. two white wires go to the tank warmer and two wires go to the tank heater inside. you can try turning up the thermostat setting to a higher range and see what happens. there's a copper pipe that comes from the tank to the sprayhead the tank holds approx three urn fulls of water. if you have an analog meter you can check the element for continuity on the RX1 range. Do the same with the tank warmer element. Bunn-o-matic has a web site you can buy replacement parts or nelson appliance can get you parts too.

Bunn SRU Coffee Urn

all bunn-o-matics have a cleaning spring that goes into the water tube once you unscrew the sprayhead. if you want to take the unit apart go this route. unplug the unit. remove the sprayhead. remove the two screws atop the unit and there's a brass fitting that screws into the canister's top. remove this then remove the tray. when you have the top off you'll see the canister that holds the water. it holds three potfulls of water. there's two wires that go down around the canister. this is the warm element. on top of the canister is a round dime like device. this is the brew sensor and disconnects the main element when a pot is brewed. in one corner you'll see the thermostat. this determines the brew pot temperature. there's a cappillary that goes down inside the canister. where the sprayhead is is a nut. remove this and the whole canister can be removed. you'll find after you remove the top of the canister that deposits are hard caked along the inside walls of the canister where the warmer element is located. scrape this off. replacement parts can be had at the bunn site.
