How do I program a MISC key on a Casio TE-2400 cash register?

I am in hell programming a TE-2400 cash register and am stuck in a number of places. I need to program a MISC key so we can ring things up by price instead of PLU if need be - you know, 9.99 MISC, for example. I will stop there for now as I'm sure I'll have more questions over the next 72 hours. Of course we are in ER mode because the old register in our store died (was killed). THANKS in advance!

You just use one of the item buttons. Re-name it to MISC then when you use it in REG mode, type a price each time and press MISC. This is the standard way to make a MISC button Make sure you don't use a decimal point when entering prices. Hope that makes sense

SOURCE: casio te2200 cash register programming

Hi Cathy,
You sure have been programming the Departments. You have turned on a link feature to a condiment PLU, so go back, and turn that off for the departments that you have it set to on. The digit limit has also been set too low, so now the machine has been told to accept low amounts only in those departments, so you will need to go into those departments, and set the Digit limit (sometimes called HALO) to a higher value.
If you don't know what you did to cause this problem, just do a program read of the departments, and have a look at the ones that work, then set the others to the same values.

If you still have problems, then type out the values of a good dept, and a bad dept, and I'll tell you the difference.

SOURCE: How to merge (not found PLU) into scanning PLU file in casio te-4

Hi.
This is the only thing I haven't managed to do with them. I've tried many methods and consulted other techs, but it seems they are very separate memory areas. You will probably just have to program the product into the scanning PLU file as well.
If I find a way, I'll try to post it for you.

My Casio TE-2400 is showing =w/ when in REG mode and in PGM mode, doesn't show the number of the program I want to access. Any ideas please?

Someone has been fiddling with function key names. Do a program print out of PGM2 mode and find which name has been changed to =w/ in the list. Program it back to original.
