SOURCE: reverse sewing button stuck HELP!!

MOdel 6430 has the stitch length and buttonhole selector on the same knob. It is the one on the bottom right side of the machine. I believe you may have selected the buttonhole by pulling out on the large round knob. You need to turn the knob back to 0 zero and push in. This should return the machine to normal mode.Adjust your stitch length to 3 and try it. The reverse knob in the center should also stick out so that it becomes operational again.

SOURCE: Viking sewing machine model 6430 will only sew backwards

Th cam stack gears have gummed up on you you can try getting the back cover off along with the side and soaking the machine down with wd-40 and running it while forcing the reverse button in and out if it breaks free try and soak up as much of the wd-40 as you can and then oil anything that moves. I know this may be discouraging but viking no longer supports this machine and you might be better off taking it to an older viking dealer for help.

SOURCE: My model 120 Husqvarna Viking sewing machine will

Repair manuals are available only to Husqvarna Viking authorized dealers. However, I have seen some on ebay from time to time. Sounds like your problem could be several things - binding of the internal drive shaft which may have a build up of grease and lint which unbinds as you sew, could be a faulty motor, or faulty transformer. Suggest that it be serviced and cleaned by an authorized Husqvarna Viking Dealer. You can find the nearest dealer by click on the "Dealer" link at http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

Good luck.

SOURCE: My Viking Rose sewing machine starts and stops and

The Rose has a sensor on the presser bar assembly that is giving you the grief. The machine thinkss the presser foot is in the raised position. There is a small metal flat spring that has gone bad and causing the error. Find an autorized service center to repair the problem.

Testimonial: "Thank you. At least when I take it in they can't fool me into thinking it is something else! "

Husqvarna rose stopped sewing. Blinking foot icon. re-strung thread but still no results. Do not know what blinking foot icon means.

If the symbol is a presser foot, then most likely it is something to do with the foot itself. Is it the correct foot for the stitches you've selected, is the presser foot still raised, is the presser foot attached properly?

I have a Viking sewing machine, Rose 600. Recently, the computer says the foot is not down, when in fact it is. Is this easily rectified?

You have a sensor that is not working correctly, it would probably be best to take it to a Viking dealer to have it fixed as a lot of repair people ma not be well versed in this repair.

Have old, (but good) 6217 c model. Cannot attach button hole foot, seems too long for the shank that you attach feet to. Only one hole in the shank and the shank on the button hole foot is too long for...

You are trying to attach a long shank foot to a short shank machine. Look for a short shank foot on either Ebay. You may also find it included within a "tin" of accessories at a local thrift shop. If neither of these options work for you check with your local fabric store or sewing machine repair shop for the correct button foot.

My Rose sewing machine will not sew. It beeps and the presser foot icon flashes. I have re threaded, re bobbined, re placed the presser foot, and I think I have cleared the memory, but I am not really...

That light means you need to lower the presser foot. It cannot sew until the foot is lowered. The lever to lower the foot is behind the needle area on the back.

I WOULD LIKE TO TRY MACHINE QUILTING WITH MY ROSE MACHINE. DO I NEED A SPECIAL FOOT ATTACHMENT OR COMPUTER CARD?

If you want to piece quilts, I recommend a 1/4" piecing foot. Husqvarna make several different types that may be used on the Rose.
If you want a dual feed or walking foot, check out the new Interchangeable Dual Feed foot.
You only use card with the Rose for embroidery, which you can do on a quilt, but not necessary.

Info screen keeps beeping to change pressure foot, and I have the correct pressure foot attached to the machine.

If this machine is a Rose, the screen flashes the foot because it thinks the foot is in the up position, not because your using the wrong foot type. There is a spring that can break and a switch that can sometimes go bad that gives that error message. A trip to your service tech is required. That part has a 20 or 25 year guarantee if you are the original purchaser. Labor was covered for one year from date of purchase.
