I believe the drivers are located HERE. There is no exact match for the model number you gave (CT 6840) however there is a driver for the Web Cam 3 version which has the model number of 6840. If that is not the correct driver HERE is the Creative Labs support for all webcam models. just do a search there and you should be able to find it.
Are you able to get proper images and see the other part as well? Also what OS are you on, and what version of the software are you using? Does this issue happen in IM's as well, or is it just in your Monitor software? Has this happened suddenly, or after you installed something else or made changes to your PC, etc?
Try to give me as many details about the issue as possible, it will help me find the cause and solution.
Weird... I can't find this model at all on Creative's site. However, you can find the software at http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=62521
The catch with the site is you have to view a series of ads to actually download the software. Dumb, I know. But I've used the site before and from my experience it's pretty reliable.
