Burning smell from LG oven

I have an LG oven (model LRE30453ST /01). It was giving me an F7 code. The stove still worked but the oven would not heat up. I read many forums which had different answers. But first replaced the Oven Control Board, but that didn't help, still same F7 code. Then I read one that suggested it was the relay board. This made sense since mine what a little burn plastic on that part. I installed the part and the oven worked! BUT, now I get a burning smell. I had my wife run it for a couple of hours to see if it would burn off or if it was just because we hadn't used it in a month (desperate here!). But no luck. So in summary, over works but getting burning smell. What should I try next?

Hi Mike Plante, I read your problem and would be very appreciative if you can share the solution that you eventually found, as my LG unit has experienced this exact problem after the same repairs were made. Please post an additional comment on the website. Thanks, Jeff

Why would there be no heat from frigidair oven elements?

Make sure the oven timer is set properly, if its turned off, the oven will not go on. Also check if the oven has separate fuse, it may have blown.

Stopped working, flashing code F7 and beeping

Hello Michelle, thank you for your inquiry!

Typically error code F7 indicates that your Frigidaire range is experiencing a failure with either the potentiometer or UIB (User Interface Board). Let's try resetting you range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually clears most false error codes. It is best to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your appliance. If the error code persists, it would be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further.

Best regards - Z

Burning smell from underneath the bottom oven plate

Something spilled into the area where the flame is Those big gaps in the bottom plate is how the heat gets into the oven from the burner . Try letting the oven burn off whatever spilled in it

Stove not on - but fan comes on automatically -

it sounds as if the thermostat is broke. it could be the two wires off the thermostat are after melting together. ( burning smell). the thermostat stops power going to fan when it sences below a certain degrees. but your one has been cut out of the circuit due to the two cables melting together. this means fan will constantly stay on. you need to find and replace thermostat and make sure no cables melted together. if they are then seperate and use insulating tape to re insulate.make sure circuit breaker is off while doind this
