Shadow on screen of samsung lcd tv

Screen is darker and colours become darker as well

u need to replace the tv backlight. it can be done by urself but its kinda complicated its better to just tak eit in to a repair man. shouldnt be that costly.

I belive this is a rear projection tv and if the picture has gotten darker.... most likely the problem will be in your TV Lamp.

hi,

your lcd is in test mode. you may try off the power. press and hold menu + source + power on.

this should go back to normal mode.

Samsung vertical shadow screen
Does the screen have a double image? or is one side of the screen darker and has a delay? If so, your LCD panel is failing, common problem with older Samsung LCD's. I have the same model in my dining room that had a double image, fixed it by taking the panel apart and applying thermal pads on top of the panel tabs. The set works like a champ to this day!!!

Faulty picture which corrects itself after a few minutes.
Due to persistent on/off some components inside the TV might have become faulty, leaky. It can also be due to lose contacts. This might need attention by a qualified service technician.

The tv has a problem in video section or IFsection the shadows means that the lcd is burned from excees voltage.your tv screen will need to be changed its damage.the video section and IF section of your tv is in a IC package its not hard to identify.good luck.

The bottom of the screen has become darker!
Hi
The symptom you are telling is similar to FL inverter problem but with that case usually entire screen goes dim. You may try to reset the settings (Usually AUTO button). Unplug and plug in the electrical connection+Computer connection. Also make sure your Display setting in computer side has not been modified. If issue persist take to the qualified service center. FL inverter is the illuminator part of LCD works like fluorescent tube. FL inverter issue rather lower cost compare to other LCD issues.

One half of screen sees darker than other
Problems described are related to Backlight.It is possible that backlights of affected area have become weak.
You may need to contact the company for repairs and Yes the Repairs may not be cheap.
