This factory stereo does not provide a switched 12 volt source. You will have to go to an accessory power source in the vehicle. That's what the extended red wire is for.
If it is a factory radio,whenever you remove the battery the radio goes into a locked mode.You need to call a Buick dealer to get the unlock code and have them tell you how to do it.Write down the code for the future possibilities too.Good luck! Greg
There is a kit from Metra called the Metra 99-3303 kit that takes the double din area of the stock stereo and converts it into an info center/single din. Cost is about $123 on ebay.
