Fisher and Paykel Dishwasher Stainless Steel Double Drawer.
Model DD601 v2.
System powers up, but getting U2 error on dishwasher display. What does this mean? how much would it cost to get repaired? Also a hose needs repacing according to one of my friends,is this expensive?
You can replace it yourself and get the part from an appliance dealer for about 10-20 bucks. If you don't want to, you can get it fixed for around 50-60 bucks. Hope it helps.
The prime suspect in this case is always the drawer limit switch. On the DD602's, the limit switch is located on the very back of the left drawer guide which means.to remove the switch the drawer needs to come out.
and for further instruction on how to do it manually without calling repair person just click this link and read the instructions and follow them properly

thanks please do rate the solution if helped by it accordingly.
According to http://www.scribd.com/doc/6462163/DD601V2-Manual, the dishwasher thinks that the door is open. This means either that the microswitch has failed or the exhaust valve failed open circuit. Neither of these should be very expensive to fix. Your friend might be wrong or he might be right, if it's the microswitch then it'll be pretty cheap since it's a small part, or if he's right then it could be a little more, but still very reasonable.
Thanks for visiting Fixya.
First of all unplug the machine from poweroutlet and plug it again after some time and check wether the error goes away.if the error is still there.just check the door is getting closed properly or check if some button is stucked up.also you asked about the hose.its not much expensive .thanks.
Check the door latch.
U2 is door not closed, check the door latch, follow the solution on website below.
