double check the wires and make sure the firing order did not get mixed up. This can cause a no start, the vehicle will sound like it wants to go but just floods instead. Good Luck
Your alarm may have lost the tach signal, that was learned to it, when it was originally installed. That would cause the remote start to try starting the vehicle over and over again, until it finally stays running, because it can't read the engine speed to know it's running. If you can find the valet push button switch in your vehicle, try this; Start your car with the key and immediately after it starts, press and hold that valet push button switch until the alarm led on the dash stays lit up or the park lights flash. Then, release the valet switch, shut the car off and try remote starting it. That is the procedure to re-learn the tach signal. Hope it works for you.
The remote start system has been improperly installed. This is a common occurrence for the vehicle that you have. To correct the problem, you need to make sure that the vehicle's primary ignition (pink), ignition #2 (orange) and ignition #3 (white) wires are connected to separate ignition sources from the remote starter. This may require the addition of relays depending on the number of high current ignition outputs available from the remote start module. If you have the model #25622 remote start installed than you need 2 extra relays. The relay terminals need to be wired as follows:
30 = to vehicle extra ignition wire 87 = to 12V constant source (fused at 20A) 87a = no connection 86 = to r/s module thick green wire 85 = to chassis ground
if you start the car with the remote start you can not put the car in gear until the key is inserted into the ignition and turned to the on position. the vehicle will just die if this is not done.
Check power SUPPLY to the ignition box when the problem is happening. If supply and ground are maintained at all times, then yes,it is the ignition box.I have an MSD 6AL i bought NEW about 5 years ago...it just quit working one day.MSD said they would fix it if i shipped it to them for a min/max charge.Min like $80.....max was $150.I bought an electronic distributor, module, and wiring harness from Mopar Performance for $200 brand new.
