You should start windows in safe mode. By pressing the F8 key right when Windows starts, usually right after you hear your computer beep when you reboot it, you will be brought to a menu where you can choose to boot into safe mode. If it does not work on the first try, reboot and try again as you have to be quick when you press it. when it starts in safe mode, run system restore and when prompted for a restore date, choose an older restore date, probably one you a sure was perfect 2 days before the blue screen issue. This should get your system running in good shape.

Hi,

This dump occur when driver of the hardware is not accurate. Boot system in Safe Mode and uninstall driver which you installed last time. If you unable to enter safe mode, then you need to install a fresh copy of windows, then install proper drivers from Acer's official support site.

SOURCE: blue screen of death comes up then the netbook turns off

This article may help you....or these.
If you can turn off the auto restart to get a stop error code from the blue screen, that will help you to diagnose this error. See 'disabling restart..." here. Then reboot and note the exact error code reported. Write back with that info and we'll help you to sort it out.
You can look up codes here.
Also helpful links for blue screens here, here, & here.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

SOURCE: Acer Aspire 5520 screen and NVIDIA driver problems

its a hardware issue, and why its your motherboard on laptop have a problem, not physically but i think your try to re-update your BIOS to clear out all the malfunction chips inside your laptop. This problem was actually i encountered before but no one also understand why is always came back the problem on it. Go to the website on the ACER www.acer.com to download the latest BIOS updates on it.
You should install it one by one or step by step like for example 1.0 then 2.0, like that. And don't be so hurry the BIOS is a very delicate setup rather than Windows System.
Basically restore the BIOS setting on default after that installation.
This installation might help to you with that problem and dont forget to unplug all unnecessary input devices so that it will not hang up again. Afterwards run Disc Recovery Disk to setup Windows System, good luck! Bboy

SOURCE: my acer netbook crashed.. 2nd time to happen.. i

Technically when your system crashed it's not easy to put it back again with details to details instruction, even guide cannot help out to that.

Maybe your Netbook have another problem aside on system crashing.

So it's difficult to say you can fix it in your own way.

Call a technician and ask after he fix it. I'm sure he will tell you and how to manage it.

Hope this tip might help you.

Good luck!

Blue screen appears & keep restarting

It is possible that the malware is to blame, in which case a computer technician will need to sort it out.

I think it may be a bad memory module or loose memory module connection.

Take care!

Refer to this article on the Blue Screen of Death. It's probably not a virus just faulty hardware. Disable the automatic reboot option to write down the Error Code. Once you have the Error Code written down do a google search for the code and someone on the web will have the answer. I can't really help you because I don't know the Error Code. Just read the article and the wonderful people at lifehacker.com will steer you in the right direction:

First thing to try is to reset the system. It's actually just a full drain of power.
Unplug from any power source, and then remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds.
Reinstall the battery and turn it on.

Hi,
Operating System does not respond is the major problem.
This is a very commonly faced error by the users of the Windows 7 which leads to the Blue Screen of death to the system. The error message appears on the computer screen in the following form: "Windows Operating System is not responding" along with two options one "Close the Program" and other "Wait for the program to respond". But whenever the user attempts to close the program he comes up with a serious data loss. To solve this problem apply different troubling shooting methods or take help of the technical experts.

I need to reset ... it will only go to a blue screen . Saying crash dump

To solve this issue boot your system to safe mode. Restart your computer and press F8 while booting a select Safe mode option. Once it logged in to safe mode, Go to start -> RUN and Type msconfig. So you will get a window. You need to click on START UP tab and search for DUMP or any files with DUMP phrase.Once you found it uncheck the entry and Click on APPLY and OK. Restart your system normally. Now you can see your system working fine. see the pic below

Hi,

You windows installation got corupted . The only solution for this is to reinstall the operating system. U can do it from Sony recovery disk or from Independent disks of your own( in this case customized sony softwares will be lost). If u are pointing towards a memory dump which is a common problem in Vista then u can log in once and right click my computer and then go to advanced tab then from there go to start up and recovery at there u can deactivate the memory dump
