If it ran ok before you changed the fuel filter you may have lost prime and may have to bleed the injectors

could be the fuel pump ...you will need to do a fuel pressure test on it ..the pressure should be 63 anything lower even so much as a few lbs will cause this to happen ...as well if it sat that long i would consider a complete tune up and check all vacuum lines for dry-rot

SOURCE: I have a 1996 Plymouth Breeze... That won't start,

Hi, this sounds like a bad fuel pump. I would have the fuel pressure checked. Sometimes Autozone will let you borrow a fuel pressure gauge to check your fuel pressure. Just unscrew the cover from the pressure port on the fuel rail and screw on the pressure gauge. Put a rag over your hand while screwing it on to avoid getting fuel sprayed around. Lay the gauge in a safe place and start the car. Read the gauge, record the reading, turn the car off and remove the gauge. If the pressure is less than 35 psi, you need a new fuel pump. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

1995 buick lasbre stalling when i touch the gas pedal, change the mass airflow sensor, fuel pump and filter, rely, and regualtor, now the pcv now it doesnt start at all i need help can anyone help me...

omg you did everything except the air filter. yours is most likely clogged or really dirty. I wouldn\'t drive it anymore until you get them. you can destroy your engine with a dirty air filter. not breathing. also if you drive your car on empty a lot your in for a lot of time and money. all the sediment from gas sits at the bottom of the tank and when you use the last of the gas your engine is forced to suck up debris. thus clogging your fuel lines and you wont be able to drive at all. or even start if it gets bad enough. you will have to get your fuel lines flushed or replaced. doing it yourself is impossible. always good to drive with over quarter tank all the time. or your engines doomed.

Hi sounds like the typical fuel pump or filter problem with these cars, best way to tell is take top fuel hose off on fuel filter under hood, turn key on ignition (not start) and fuel should pump out, if not its your pump, just beware of doing when engine is hot

Hi, I would take it to a mechanic and get the stored computer codes, which should narrow the problem down to 1 thing. Have you replaced the fuel pump and filter?Do something for me, try to start the car in the morning but when you crank it over push the gas pedal to the floor. If it doesn't start it could be a fuel pump problem. Good luck.

1998 chev 1500 hard starting when cold but starts fine after warming up changed plugs and sensors

The first thing i would tey is changeing the fuel filter. Chevy has a problem with the design from the fuel pump to the fuel inlet on the intake manifold. What they did it is back up the power supply to the fuel pump from the fuel relay and split the curicut and ran the back up through the oil pressure sending unit . So even if the relay went bad while driveing the fuel pump would still get power and the truck wouldn't die on the road its a saftey thing .But if the relay is bad then the engine needs to build up enough oil pressure to trip the oil sending unit to send power to the pump from cranking thus a long cranking time when cold . Change the fuel filter first it should be replaced every 4 to 5 years anyway . A nd if that dosn't fix it try the relay it should be behind a panal inside the glove box on your truck and if that dosn't work replace the oil pressure sending unit. One of these 3 things should work if the fuel pump is working correctly
