Open the watch and lay it on the table dial down and winder facing you.
Get the hard steel needle and push down the small metal piece next to the to the place where the stem is entering the movement (on the left side). Pull out the stem while holding that piece down.
If thhat piece looks like screw cap (with the groove), then you have to unscrew it in order to get the stem out.

I have a ladies Rotary watch and would like to know what it's worth.

The serial number and the name don't bring any information. Check eBay and filter by 'Sold'. That will give an indication of prices realized.

Tip & How-To about Watches

Changing Watch Batteries
Lots of posters ask "what is the battery in my (name of watch)" with a view to changing it yourself. This is a bad idea for many reasons. You don't have the tools or knowledge to remove a rotary screw on back, or the gasket sealant for a waterproof watch. Some fashion watches have 4 traditional screw and need professional grade jeweler screwdrivers. Also, there are about 20 batteries commonly used in watches, in various sizes and internal technology, Lithium Ion, Silver Oxide and Manganese Alkaline. If you buy them, you generally have to buy 10!

Don't sweat the details. Just take the watch to your local jeweler. They have all the batteries at hand and the tools to remove the back. It is done whilst you wait for $8 to $15!

Hi, I have a casio ef532d 1avef watch and I would like to remove the bezel in order to restick the 10 (or 22) mark on the dial, as it is wandering under the glass. Does the bezel go out or should I open...

Thank you for contacting FixYa.
You can not do this yourself. You can not remove bezel as it is sealed. To go through the back requires removing all the watch inside components and you will have to remove the winder. NOT RECOMMENDED TO DO YOURSELF.
Take to a local watchmaker, or send here:

Broken glass and new strap

Hi Chris,

Skagen watches have very thin domed crystals and they do break. Because of how thin they are it doesn't take a lot of pressure to break the crystal.

Crystals are not something any watch company covers in their warranty.

The crystal can be replaced. Either Skagen can replace them or a qualified watchmaker can. Prices vary and it would depend on how much you are willing to spend as to if it was worth it to you.

Breitling watch winder rotations requirments

The watch should last 36 hours from fully wound. If your wearing the watch and using a watch winder and its still stopping, you have a problem with the mechanism. Get it serviced. (its probably just a clean and oil req'd)
